Finished Berry Basket

Did you take advantage of the Weekly Deal when the berry basket was on sale?  Well, here is the basket I made, and finally finished today.

I used "a gift for you" from the retired stamp set, Bring on the Cake.  I cut it out using the frame die from the Circle Card thinlet set.  I mounted that on a piece of Sahara Sand Decorative Label punch.

I used the new bow builder punch to create two bows on each side of the handle.  I didn't like seeing the staples on the outside, so I added a piece of the Tip Top Taupe lace to the outside of the basket.

I didn't have any shredded paper and my Fringe Scissors would have been great to use on this, but they were at home and I was at the Branson Mill Craft Village.  So compromise I did, using my paper cutter and cut up some Christmas tissue paper I had laying in the Christmas tote.

What other colors do you want to see in this basket?  I do have some Easter ones done but wanted to wait until closer to Easter to post.  Maybe I'll try a Valentine basket next.

Tote Bag

What supplies do you carry in your craft tote bag when you go somewhere to stamp, crop, or create?

I asked this question on my Facebook business page, Desiree's Craftroom, last night.  I will update this post with your responses once I gather them all together.

I have a supply tote at the Branson Mill Craft Village that stays there and I also have a few other things in it.

Here is what I have in my supply tote at home:

Tear 'N Tape
Dimensionals
Glue Dots
Adhesive (both Tombow Multipurpose liquid glue and Snail adhesive)
Snail Refill
Fast Fuse
Paper Snips
Adhesive Remover
Tape Measure

My tote at the Mill has the following:

Can you guess what else I have in mine? What's different in the second picture from the first?

If there is something here that I mentioned and you don't know what it is or what it is used for, be sure to let me know!

Gift Bags

Today, I'm sharing two gift bags I made for Birthday and any occasion (Thanks).  I used retired Designer Series Paper to create the bags.

I used "Thanks" from the Hello You framelits and added that to the lighter color on the top bag.  I wasn't sure how the linen thread was going to look, but I like how it turned out.  I braided the handles and the edging around the top of the bag.  I love how this turned out!

For the Birthday Bag, I used my Cricut to die cut the Happy Birthday in Tangelo Twist to complement the colors in the designer series paper.  I love how it pops!

You can see these bags at the Branson Mill Craft Village, unless they sell before you get there!

Bumble Bears

We, yes I said, "we," spent the afternoon making more Bumble Bee Hershey Bar wraps.  Here's a picture of the Bees being assembled and waiting for their wrappers.

This is another Valentine idea that I'm featuring at the Branson Mill Craft Village.  You can choose from any of the bright colors with Bumble Bee, or you can choose a Star Wars punch art, or a pink and red Valentine Bar Wrap.

Valentine Stand Up Post It Note

Are you ready for Valentine's Day?  If you need to pick up a little something for the love of your life, stop in at the Branson Mill Craft Village and come into Desiree's Craftroom.  I have a variety of Valentine cards that are for sale as well as many Valentine gifts.

Today's share is a Valentine Stand Up Post it Note.  I used some retired Designer Series Paper and then mounted one of those pretty heart doilies that were in the DSP pack.  Yes, I fussy cut these all apart.  Use what you have on hand! Then I stamped Be My Valentine from the retired Delightful Dozen stamp set on whisper white cardstock.  I die cut it out using the Hearts Framelits.  I then used the die from the Mini Treat Bag framelits to cut out the red glimmer heart to add the final touch.

I really like how this came out.  Be sure to let me know what you think!

Special Orders

Did you know I do special orders?  If you see something on my blog or Facebook page, Desiree's Craftroom, that you like but want different colors or different pattern, send me an email so we can discuss what you are looking for!

I received a special order after a woman came in to see my Stand Up Post It notes.  She loved the Hello My Friend verse (from My Friend stamp set), and the verse, a Friend accepts us as we are yet helps us to be what we should, from the Feels Good stamp set.  She purchased two and ordered two more!

Here are the four Stand Up Post It Note holders I made for her to chose from.

What she didn't take are up at the Branson Mill Craft Village waiting for you!

Yoda and Darth Vadar Punch Art

As promised, here are the finished Yoda and Darth Vadar Hershey Bar Wraps.

For Yoda, I used the Bird Builder punch (2) and then layered a 1-3/8 circle (after I embossed the upper portion) on top of the two birds.  I used the word window punch for his arms and light saber.  I used the lighter green (certainly celery) and didn't really care for this so I chose to do Yoda in the Lucky Limeade.

I used my larger Tag Punch (I cut one out of black glimmer paper and one out of black cardstock) and the Curly Label punch for Darth's head.  I also used the word window punch for his arms and to round the tip of his light saber.

This is the draft one -- didn't care for the small head so used the larger tag punch in the ones below.  I also didn't like the silver eyes with the marker, so I added jewels for the eyes on the final project.

Again, I went to my Star Wars expert, my son, to see which color better displayed Darth Vadar.  I'm happy to say we both agreed the lighter gray, Smokey Slate, for the wrap.

I hope you enjoy the finished projects!

Berry Basket at Discounted Price

Just a reminder about this week's deals.

The Berry Basket has been very popular and it is discounted until Monday evening.

Here are some more baskets that I made in the past to entice you!

On the brown basket, I added a double white bow and a phrase, A Gift For You.  I don't have a picture of the front, and it has sold, but these are really great gift ideas!

On the Easter Basket, I added grass, of course, and then I popped up on dimensionals, the Happy Easter verse.

I do have a new Hostess Code: KND2Q7WA so please use this code when placing your order!

Chinese Take Out Boxes

I had a request from a grandmother who is watching her grandchildren if I had any Chinese Take out boxes.  I said no, and asked what she wanted them for.  She told me she has the grandchildren fill out "fortunes" and place in paper fortune cookies and she wanted to put them in the take out boxes.

Off to Pinterest I went to get a pattern.  Click here to access the site I used.  I think these came out okay, but I want to keep looking.  These weren't as easy as they looked -- perhaps I'm getting too used to using my envelope punch board for boxes!

First up is the medium box.  Then the smaller box.

Be sure to let me know what you think of these two boxes.

Bumble Bear In Progress

I'm working on this project, so it's not complete yet, but I wanted to share with you today, because it is SO cute!

Using my Cricut, I was able to die-cut this cute guy out.  I used the mini heart punch and our red glimmer paper to punch out the red heart.  My husband wanted some bright colored papers to pop him up so off he went to Michael's to get some really bright papers!  I will finish these once I get my new Valentine stamps!  These will be more Valentine Hershey Bar Wraps once completed.

Tuesday's Weekly Deals

Here are this week's deals from Stampin' Up!

If you don't already have the berry basket die, this is definitely a great buy.  Here is one of the baskets I made for my craft store using the die.

The In Color Stampin' Write markers are another good deal for your coloring or two tone stamping needs.  Just remember, when coloring your stamps with your markers, use the side of the brush tip, not the tip.  And you will need to "breathe" or "huff" on the stamp to remoisten the ink before stamping.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  When placing your order, please use Hostess Code 3FJFZAJR.  And remember, the prices are as long as supplies last!

Pocket Treat Packets

Here is another cute idea for Valentines for the kids.  I made these pouches for a group that is coming through the Branson Mill Craft Village this week.  I was told to prepare things with fruits and vegetables.

I love how these turned out.  I used the Hello Life stamp set to create the little words on the base.  I then stamped the words and heart from the same stamp set on whisper white and fussy cut the heart out.  I'll need to get some miniature chocolates for these before Wednesday!

My Paper Pumpkin for January hasn't arrived yet, but I cannot wait to get mine to add some different Valentine words to my projects!

Love is In The Air

I believe LOVE should be in the air every day, don't you? Well, today's share is all about LOVE.

Before I share my project, though, I hope that you are able to join me today from 11-1 OR 2-4 pm for our 6 X 6 scrapbooking class.  If you cannot join me and you would love to make this scrapbook, email me to let me know what day would work better for you.  OR if you'd like, we can have a class in your home, where you invite your friends and family to join in the fun!  AND you can earn FREE Stampin' Up! products for yourself when they place an order.  Contact me for more information!

As I said, this share is all about Love.  Yes, some of these have "Valentine" on them, but most are designed for LOVE, Anniversary, or Just Because.

I used some retired Stampin' Up! designer series papers for the tops, and Crumb Cake cardstock for the bottoms.  What's really neat about these little bags is that the tops can be changed out!  I'll see if I have some photos of older ones we made in one of my classes in past years.

**Here is the one bag topper from a few years back:

I also used the retired fancy bag die from Stampin' Up! to die cut these out.

Let me know which one is your favorite!
