August Cards

For the next four days, I'll be providing more information about the cards we will be making today and tomorrow.

This first card is very simple, but elegant.

Using the Confetti Star Border punch, I punched top and bottom so the beautiful Mint Macaron card stock shows through.  I then stamped one of the flowers from the Flower Shop stamp set and punched out with the coordinating punch.  I used a 1/2 inch circle punch for the center.  Adding a little "celebrate" and some Mint Macaron lace ribbon and we're done!

Off stamping a flower on the inside and we're ready to decorate the envelope!  Can't wait to see everyone's variety of my creation!

Cardinals Anyone?

Here is a card I made a while back for a dear cousin of ours.  I couldn't find the photo to show sooner.  Since I had lost everything on my computer recently, I thought this was lost forever.  So happy I found it so I could share with everyone.

Although it wasn't for a happy occasion, the words can be changed to something HAPPY!

I used the Bird Builder punch for most of the Cardinal and the berries are punched from the Owl Builder punch.  A little sponging on the wings of the Cardinal make it pop.

Recent Card I made

Here is a card I made but couldn't share until the recipient, my daughter, received it.  She and her significant other bought their first home and I wanted something to signify them moving in.  They planned it so they had a month to move from one town to another close by.  What do you think?  Did I capture the move?

I used the Sprinkles of Life stamp set to create the trees and the coordinating punch to create the clouds.  The home is from a retired set that I fussy cut and popped up with dimensionals.  I used the small oval punch to cut out balloons and then used the Owl Builder punch to create the bottoms of the balloons.  Add a little twine, and wella!  I love it and so did she!

Stars from Convention

One of the demonstrations at Convention this year was this beautiful star.  This first one is made with 6 X 6 square Designer Series Paper (Typeset).  This particular DSP is really thin, but I think it came out great.

My second star was a bit more challenging because I wanted to do a smaller star.  Duh--I didn't think about the cutting measurement to form the points and did five stars before I got two that were perfect.  Chic N Scratch has a video on YouTube that you can follow nicely.  Here's a link to her video:  https://youtu.be/6Wgdn3piXpU.

On this second one, which is 4 X 4 square Designer Series Paper, I cut just a little bit less than half way in.  Then when I started my fold, if I saw it wasn't enough, I cut a little bit more.

I really like how these turned out.  Let me know if you'd like to have a Christmas Gift class where we can make one of these!

What Am I doing?

Can you guess what I'm working on here?

Using a retired Snowflake die from Stampin' Up!, I cut out the large and small snowflake out of Aluminum Flashing.  I then cut the middle snowflake out of Silver Glimmer paper to create these:

Using my Crop-A-Dile, I was able to punch holes through all three and then used some retired Glimmer Brads to attach all three together.

I received a customized order for 75 of these ornaments.  I was able to get all the supplies cut in one and a half days and then put them all together on the second and third day.  All that's left is to add the twine to each snowflake and they are done!

So You Kits

I've finally got enough done on this kit that I can show and finish in class!  I have five kits and I can no longer purchase them, so it is a limited class.  You will pay for the kit and come use my White StazOn Ink and my So You stamp set.

This kit comes with lots of supplies and you will have leftovers.  You need to bring your own adhesive and photos.  We will start with 4 X 4 photos.  Some of these will be cut down.  If you have your own paper trimmer, bring that too!

Here are some pictures of what I've done with mine.  Be sure to email me to confirm your spot in the class.  Date will be determined on those interested.
