Soft Sayings

Today's share is another set of cards that I made using the Soft Sayings Card Kit.  This is a note card that came with water wash on it.  I then added the die cut flower and popped the sentiment up on dimensionals.  Simple, but elegant.

This second card is a little simpler because all I added was some die cut leaves and popped the sentiment up.  Nice to just drop in the mail.  These water wash cards are fantastic to add just a little embellishment and you're ready to mail.

Soft Sayings Card Kit Continued

Today, I'm sharing a couple of more cards I made with this kit. The first card is a water wash base that is in the kit.  I added a die cut front and put some die cut leaves that are also in the kit.  I stamped my sentiment in the Basic Gray Ink Spot that is also in this kit.

This is a nice masculine card that, again, you can use for any occasion.

This next card, I debated whether to cut and layer or leave as is.  I decided to leave it as it was created.  I did add a gold floral die cut to the front to dress it up a little.  This is a great "Just Because" note card for your friend!

Soft Sayings Card Kit

I promised you some samples made with the Soft Sayings card kit (145466).  I'll post a few each day this week to highlight the many cards you can make with one kit.  The nice thing with this kit is that it comes with a block, stamps, cardstock, embellishments and an ink spot!  Everything you need to make cards -- just add snail adhesive (104332) or Tombow liquid glue (110755) to your order and you will be set. 

I also recommend getting a paper piercing mat (126199) or use a mouse pad for cushioning.  This helps the photopolymer stamps to be crisp and clear.

For this card, I added the Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock to make this a more masculine card.  

On this card, I used one of the die cuts to layer on top of the water wash card base that is in the kit.  I'm not a big fan of washi tape because mine doesn't normally stick.  So I doubled mine and added it to the back of the sentiment.  This is a more feminine card and can be used for any occasion -- job promotion, graduation, pregnancy, Mother's Day, etc.

Saturday Blessings

I have been missing here on my blog this week, but I have been busy!  I finally got my computer up and running on Monday night.

Happy Birthday!

 I’m still without a computer so I’m attempting to post from my iPad. Saturday was my husband’s birthday. Nine years ago they told us he had 6 months to live. God’s not done with him yet and I’m so blessed to have him still with me.

I spent Friday working on a card for him.  This is my first attempt. I love the papers in the True Gentleman designer series papers. Tranquil Tide is just so masculine. For this card I used the coordinating stamp set, Truly Tailored, and coordinating punch.

This is not the card my husband received.  I wanted something with more punch to it. Come back this afternoon, and I'll post it! What do you think of this card?  Would you give it to that special someone?

Lovely As A Tree Embossed Card

Today's share is a card one of my class attendees wanted to learn how to make.  She sent me a picture and here we go!

Call Me Clover Base, 8-1/2 X 5-1/2, score at 4-1/4

This is another card you selected from my OnStage swaps that you wanted to learn how to make.

Recipe:

Pineapple Punch Base, 5-1/2 X 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
Call Me Clover layer, 5-1/4 X 4
Designer Series Paper, 2 X 4
Scrap Pineapple Punch and Whisper White for die cuts

Do you know what CASE stands for?  Copy and Share everything!  I made a few changes in colors and designer series papers.  I also added Wink of Stella to the wings.
