Grand Opening

Our Grand Opening was so much fun!  Here are some photos that were taken during the events.  I gave away four craft items and met more people who didn't know about my classes!  Thank you for coming out and supporting my crafting habit!

And for the kids, I gave away crayons!

Lastly, here's a picture of the floral arrangements our friends gave us.  First bouquet arrived Saturday from John and Rogene, and our second arrangement Kathy brought in Monday during our Grand Opening!  Thank you, ladies!

Raffles & More

The Grand Opening of Desiree's Emporium, home of Desiree's Craftroom, is scheduled for May 27th!

Memorial Day weekend is coming up on us fast! Please stop in over the weekend for some exciting giveaways and enter our Raffles! I will have two paper crafting baskets as well as two toy baskets that will be raffled off.

Today's share is a Flag Nugget Box I made using Blueberry Bushel cardstock and Whisper white for the stars. I had some old designer paper that I used for the stripes. Make sure you cut them in the right direction!

If you are traveling this coming weekend, travel safe!

Also, if you make an in-store purchase of paper crafts, you will be able to select a free set of stickers from another basket!

Lots of giveaways are planned, so stop in May 25th-27th.

New Stampin' Up! product is available if you'd like an in-person sneak peek!

Mother's Day Around the Corner

Do you have your Mother's Day cards done? Here are a few Mother's Day cards I made and have on hand to give you some ideas on making your own cards.

Don't have time and are local to Branson--stop in at Desiree's Emporium where I have my cards for sale!

Remember, if you have a card already made, you can change out the words when in a hurry!

Are You Ready?

Are you ready to get back to card class?  I'm having crafting withdrawals. . .it's been two months since I've held class and I'm ready!

Thank you for your patience during the move.  I don't have everything unpacked and I don't have the huge display of crafts I had before, but I do have some.  I did find the supplies for our card class that was originally scheduled for March.  We'll be using Beauty Abound (yes, it is carrying over to the new catalog!) and a Sale-A-Bration set, which is no longer available.

Here are pictures of the two cards we'll be making on May 28th, from 6-8 pm at the Branson Community Center.

I only have supplies for 10 people, so please RSVP early.  Either call Traci at the center, or let me know.

Hubby's Birthday

Sunday was my husband's birthday, and I thank God that I was able to make his birthday card before our move!  Also that I was able to find it after the move!

This is a new technique that took us, Julie and I, five hours to figure out!  Once the card was done, though, it definitely was worth it. This was a card that Julie found and wanted to make. I don't know the originator of this technique.

Here are close ups of his card.

And here's the video Julie took the day we made these.  I'm so glad we were able to figure this out so my husband could be surprised.

Oh, and lastly, here's his Birthday dessert--you guessed it, Hawaiian Delight Custard from Freddies!

National Scrapbooking Day

Do you scrapbook, or does that pile of photos get you frustration?

I’ve learned that if I take on little projects, I’m more apt to finish them. For instance, it’s taking me forever to finish my daughter’s scrapbook which is a 12 X12 but I completed a smaller scrapbook for her pregnancy and was able to get it her before our granddaughter was 7.

I teach classes and one of my favorites is the Recycled Envelope Class. I show you how to create a scrapbook using the return envelopes that come in all those pesky credit card applications.

Here are some close ups of one I made for my Brother-in-law to honor their first Dachsie!

Stop in and see what I'm working on today, National Scrapbooking Day!

Stampin' Up! News

Thank you for your patience while I move my store!  Also, thank you for stopping by to read my updates.

First off, I will begin card classes starting May 28th, at the Branson Community Center, beginning at 6 pm and ending at 8 pm.  I know it’s been a while, but the good news is that my inks and punches are unpacked and I even found the cards and supplies for our class on the 28th!  I still need to prep the second card, but I’m tickled I was able to find these so early on in my unpacking.  I’ve spotted the Stamparatus, so I should be ready by then!  Here is the Technique card we will be making:

I wanted to also let you know that this is a busy time of year for Stampin’ Up!

·       New catalog coming out June 4th (you can stop in and see a preview before then).  I will order catalogs on or about May 2nd (earliest I can order) and will provide you with a new catalog if you’ve placed an order with me this past year.
·       Retiring Items (I sent a PDF file of those items retiring.  If you didn’t get it, let me know!)
·       New clearance rack items (be sure to check these out as items do sell out).  If you love any of the paper you received in your paper share, check the rack – some of it is on sale!
·       New In-Colors coming out June 4th (You can stop in and see a preview of these as well!)
·       New Paper Share – I will be doing this again provided there is interest.

You are always welcome to stop in at the store and check my progress.  Many of you have dropped by and I hope that you like what you see.  The bad news is that it’s changing all the time.  For instance, when you visited, was the kids table in place?  Did you see my crafting table out?  We just made room and will still need to adjust space for crafting, but that is going to take some time.  I have WAY TOO many of everything; not just crafting things!

So be sure to stop in and check my progress.  I hope to have my store open to the public on May 1st.  I don’t know that I will have all the crafting items unpacked and out, but I’ll do my best!

Happy Crafting,

Desiree’

2019-2021 In Colors

Here's a great comparison chart of old and current colors so you can see how the new 2019-2021 In colors fit. Also, note the RGB codes are for your computer use.

Remember to shop early as all retiring 2017-2019 In Color items will sell out quickly!

It's been crazy hectic getting my Emporium open -- May 1st is coming quickly!! I have now carved out a space for classes, and need to get my crafting stuff unpacked! I hope to be able to do this tomorrow! Today, I'm cleaning glass and putting the shelves in the display cases for my Precious Moments. This gets the glass out of my work space at the register and where I will be crafting during store hours.

Feel free to stop in and check out my new store! Just knock on the door so I know you're out there!

Happy Crafting,

New Stampin' Up! Catalog Spotted

This is the weekend for Stampin' Up! On Stage.  Although I'm not attending, I can still share things when I'm not busy unpacking and setting up my new store!

Here's what our new catalog will look like.

I did send out a newsletter earlier this week letting everyone know about the retiring Big Shot and Paper Trimmer.  If you currently own either of these and want to get other supplies, except for the cutting plates (those are already sold out!), be sure to place your order earlier rather than later.

Also remember to order any retiring In-Color items like ink refills, cardstock, DSP, or buttons and brads.

I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get back to crafting -- hope I can see daylight soon!

Happy Crafting,

Desiree'
