Grand Opening

Our Grand Opening was so much fun!  Here are some photos that were taken during the events.  I gave away four craft items and met more people who didn't know about my classes!  Thank you for coming out and supporting my crafting habit!

And for the kids, I gave away crayons!

Lastly, here's a picture of the floral arrangements our friends gave us.  First bouquet arrived Saturday from John and Rogene, and our second arrangement Kathy brought in Monday during our Grand Opening!  Thank you, ladies!

Raffles & More

The Grand Opening of Desiree's Emporium, home of Desiree's Craftroom, is scheduled for May 27th!

Memorial Day weekend is coming up on us fast! Please stop in over the weekend for some exciting giveaways and enter our Raffles! I will have two paper crafting baskets as well as two toy baskets that will be raffled off.

Today's share is a Flag Nugget Box I made using Blueberry Bushel cardstock and Whisper white for the stars. I had some old designer paper that I used for the stripes. Make sure you cut them in the right direction!

If you are traveling this coming weekend, travel safe!

Also, if you make an in-store purchase of paper crafts, you will be able to select a free set of stickers from another basket!

Lots of giveaways are planned, so stop in May 25th-27th.

New Stampin' Up! product is available if you'd like an in-person sneak peek!

Mother's Day Around the Corner

Do you have your Mother's Day cards done? Here are a few Mother's Day cards I made and have on hand to give you some ideas on making your own cards.

Don't have time and are local to Branson--stop in at Desiree's Emporium where I have my cards for sale!

Remember, if you have a card already made, you can change out the words when in a hurry!

Are You Ready?

Are you ready to get back to card class?  I'm having crafting withdrawals. . .it's been two months since I've held class and I'm ready!

Thank you for your patience during the move.  I don't have everything unpacked and I don't have the huge display of crafts I had before, but I do have some.  I did find the supplies for our card class that was originally scheduled for March.  We'll be using Beauty Abound (yes, it is carrying over to the new catalog!) and a Sale-A-Bration set, which is no longer available.

Here are pictures of the two cards we'll be making on May 28th, from 6-8 pm at the Branson Community Center.

I only have supplies for 10 people, so please RSVP early.  Either call Traci at the center, or let me know.

Hubby's Birthday

Sunday was my husband's birthday, and I thank God that I was able to make his birthday card before our move!  Also that I was able to find it after the move!

This is a new technique that took us, Julie and I, five hours to figure out!  Once the card was done, though, it definitely was worth it. This was a card that Julie found and wanted to make. I don't know the originator of this technique.

Here are close ups of his card.

And here's the video Julie took the day we made these.  I'm so glad we were able to figure this out so my husband could be surprised.

Oh, and lastly, here's his Birthday dessert--you guessed it, Hawaiian Delight Custard from Freddies!

National Scrapbooking Day

Do you scrapbook, or does that pile of photos get you frustration?

I’ve learned that if I take on little projects, I’m more apt to finish them. For instance, it’s taking me forever to finish my daughter’s scrapbook which is a 12 X12 but I completed a smaller scrapbook for her pregnancy and was able to get it her before our granddaughter was 7.

I teach classes and one of my favorites is the Recycled Envelope Class. I show you how to create a scrapbook using the return envelopes that come in all those pesky credit card applications.

Here are some close ups of one I made for my Brother-in-law to honor their first Dachsie!

Stop in and see what I'm working on today, National Scrapbooking Day!
