Paper Pumpkin 2019 - On My Mind Alternatives

 I don't usually get to my Paper Pumpkin kits when they come in, so many of mine are behind.  But I also like to see others' alternative ideas as well.  Today's share are the cards that are suggested with minor changes.

This card I added a piece of Pretty Peacock because I thought it needed more to pop the designer series papers.

This next card is a blooper.  I cut my cardstock wrong and decided to make it anyway.  I embossed with the High Seas 3-D Embossing folder and used a tag from another kit for the sentiment.  

This next card is close to the suggested cards.  

This last card is one of the suggested samples as well.  I just changed the way the card opens.

More Geared Up Garage Cards

Today's share is a card that I CASEd from Lisa F., a fellow demonstrator I found on Pinterest!  I love Gate Fold cards and this has intertwining ovals.  Took a while to get my supplies together but I love how this card came out!

This next card is inspired by Jan B.  Simply placing Designer Series Papers on each side, creates a unique look to your card.  

I hope you enjoy the Geared Up Garage stamp set and dies.  I borrowed these from a customer and fell in love with them.  If you have a mechanic or car lover in your life, you will want to pick up this set!

Clothespin Wreath

It's been a week since I posted last, but I've been busy!  We had class on Tuesday evening, and everyone loved the shaker card using the Lots to Celebrate stamp set and jar domes.  We also made a beautiful card using Lasting Elegance dies and the Last a Lifetime stamp set.  If you missed this class, I'm holding it again on Tuesday, Sep 1st at 2 pm!

   

Ready to see what I've been working on?  I was inspired by Athena S., a fellow demonstrator, and would love to show you how to make this.  

I will be scheduling a class soon; however, I need a firm head count to ensure I have enough wreaths, clothespins, and DSP, to make these.  I have two ladies already confirm they want to make these.  I have three more wreaths not spoken for.

Live, Laugh, Love

 As promised, here is a fun fold card I made using Geared Up Garage -- I'll be making another card with this same outline for my local card class.  I just don't know what papers I'll use.

You might ask, why not do this one?  Well, I do paper shares and use up what is left.  I don't have enough of this designer series papers for everyone to cut out a motorcycle!  Yes, unfortunately, there is no die and no stamp for this bike.  

This card was CASEd/inspired by Judy May.  It was fun to make and now that I know how to make these, I look forward to making my own designs!

Embossed Designer Series Papers

 I was inspired by Joanne D., a fellow demonstrator, to make these two cards.  I never thought to emboss my DSP - but it worked out really nice on these cards.  I used the Subtle 3D embossing folder to give the bottom some texture.  

These are simple but still special cards to receive.  Sometimes simple is better.

Geared Up Garage

 I needed some masculine cards to have on hand; they are not something I can just whip up.  Do you find yourself struggling when it comes to making masculine cards?  I trolled Pinterest and pinned a bunch of cards to my Geared Up Garage  Pinterest folder so I could pick out the ones I was going to make.  Today's card is one I attempted to CASE from Lynsey M.  

I used Iridescent Ice on the gears to make them pop and heat embossed copper highlights on the Crushed Curry brick wall.  Simple, but definitely masculine.  However, if you know a female that loves cars and working on them, this would be appropriate for them as well!

Botanical Butterflies

 I had no takers on the extra kits I had of the Botanical Butterfly class,  so I took the kits home and assembled the cards.  Today, I stamped and die-cut sentiments and popped them up on dimensionals.  These are now ready to go out in my card rack so they can find good homes!

I used all the basic supplies included in our card class kits.  I added different backgrounds and words to each so they will be unique.  

If you take a class with me and want an extra set, just ask -- I haven't said no to anyone yet who has asked!

Sketch Challenge

During these difficult times, it's hard to get excited when you cannot craft with friends.  My upline, Susie Wood, has challenged our group to come up with a card using a sketch.  This is the card I came up with.

I used Basic Gray for the base and Seaside Spray for the layering.  I did use retired DSP because that was all I had at home.  I then brought the card into the store and finished with the sentiment.  This can be used for any man, young or old, going through a difficult time. 

I like how this came out as a masculine card!  If you are interested in participating in a sketch challenge, let me know.  I'd love to see your creations!

Oh, What To Do?

  Have you ever found yourself looking for something to do, but not labor-intensive?  Well, today's share are what I call Sweet Treat Pouches.  Others call them the Diaper Fold.  These are great for any occasion and you can make a bunch up and leave the sentiment off until you need them!

I use these pouches for gift cards, small gift items like jewelry, money, or candy.  For Halloween, I put the miniature candy bars inside these.  

I have these available in my store for every day occasions, Birthdays, Halloween and Christmas.  I have finished sets of 3 for sale as well as kits for you to learn how to make.
