Purse Gift Card Holder

Here is another cute Christmas Gift idea! This is the second gift that we will be making in our Christmas Gift Classes.  If there is something special you want to make, let me know!

We will be using the Night Before Christmas papers for this purse. The stamp is retired, but you can use Holly Jolly Christmas, Cup of Christmas, Perfectly Plaid or any verse from the Itty Bitty Christmas sets.  Imagine those looking for their presents under the tree and you've hung this ON the tree!

How many things can you come up with to fill this purse?

Did I mention that when you take my class, you will receive a tutorial on how to make more of these in your own home?  I send it via email so you will always have a copy!

Gift cards, jewelry, and even some chocolates!

Christmas Gift Classes

I've been asked to set up a couple of Christmas Gift classes. If there is something special that you would like to learn how to make, get with me to set up a class!

Did you see September's Calendar? Well, we're using the same Cup of Cheer dies for our Christmas Gift Class. There is lots of die cutting in this class. We will be using scraps of designer series papers to put at the bottom. Now, can you think of what else you can put in this pouch? What about a gift card, packet of cider, or a card with matching earrings and necklace!

Check back here in the near future to see when in November these classes will be scheduled!

December Calendar

December brings us to the end of the year for my 2020 calendar.

The backing is Copper Foil paper.  I then stamped the sentiment, Christmas Wishes, from our Toile Christmas stamp set, which is in the new Holiday catalog, in Night of Navy.  And it has coordinating dies!

The ornament is punched out (used an old ornament punch) of the new Brightly Gleaming Specialty papers. The papers have copper foil accents so this month's calendar really shines!

November Calendar

November's calendar features a retired stamp set, Labels to Love. With November, everyone starts the month off with being grateful. I know I like to take a moment each day and reflect on all the things I don't have in my life!

For this calendar, we're using papers from the Come to Gather Designer Series Papers. Cajen Craze and Pear Pizzazz ink along with Early Expresso finish up this sentiment.

Check my schedule to see when you can come in and make your own calendar!

As some of you know, I'm having sciatic nerve issues. Today I'm headed to Springfield (store will be closed but class is on!) to see the Neurosurgeon. Hopefully she will tell us that all I need is a shot. I know, I hate shots! But I hate surgery more!!

October Calendar

Welcome back!

October's calendar features a new stamp set, Friend Like You.  I've popped this up on dimensionals on top of the new designer series papers, Come to Gather.

If you haven't seen a Holiday catalog, you're missing out.  I love the Come to Gather Designer Series papers.

September

September is time for warmer drinks! We're using Cup of Christmas and Blissful Blooms (August 2018 Paper Pumpkin) stamp sets for this month.

Stamping and die-cutting made easy!  This is another simple but pleasing calendar.

Hope to see you soon!

August Calendar

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for August, but I knew I wanted watermelon. So I went through my stamp sets, including my Paper Pumpkin stamp sets and found one!

We're using an older Paper Pumpkin stamp set, One in a Melon, from June 2017, for August! The papers are also from this kit.

We will be stamping in Emerald Envy (retired) and Melon Mambo inks. We're going to cut out the watermelon and pop it up on dimensionals.

Remember to check my Upcoming Events page to see which class time fits your schedule!

July Calendar

For July's calendar, we're using an old Stampin' Up! stamp set, Star Spangled Banner.

This set has four flag stamps in it. We'll be using Night of Navy ink for the stamp and then Real Red marker to draw the stripes. Then we're going to fussy cut it out and pop it up on dimensionals.

I love how this one turned out!

June 2020

June's calendar uses one of my favorite sets, Sailing Home.

The ship's wheel is one of the dies that coordinate with the stamp set. The papers are from the Come Sail Away Suite. Did you know you can buy the whole suite with just one number?  It makes things easy so you don't miss out on the coordinating product.

I used Mossy Meadow for the sentiment.

Check my class schedule for which October class will work for you!

May's Calendar

Today's share is my May calendar. We're using paper from Garden Lane Designer Series Paper which is layered on the top half of the calendar.

We're using Daisy Delight and Flourishing Phrases stamp sets for the two flowers. Daisy is punched and the Flourishing Phrase flower is fussy cut (cut out with scissors!). Colors are Daffodil delight and Merry Merlot with just a dot of Early Expresso for the daily.

We'll be crafting these calendars the whole month of October. Check out all the dates (afternoons and evenings) that I have scheduled.

April 2020

I love April's calendar!

I used Garden Green card stock for the background.  I stamped the solid cross in Garden Green ink onto Soft  Sea Foam cardstock.  The stamp set is Hold onto Hope in the annual catalog.  This set has coordinating framelits as well.  I die cut the solid cross in silver foil and mounted this onto the stamped cross.  I popped the cross up on dimensionals.

I then stamped the sentiment, also in Hold onto Hope, in Garden Green and used the coordinating framelit to cut it out.  I added dimensionals to the two ends so when popped up, it's the same level as the cross.

I hope you will attend one of my calendar classes that I'm holding in October.  If Tuesdays don't work for you and you want to attend, let me know which day works for you!

March 2020

March's calendar is for those who are Irish or celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

I used the Garden Lane designer series papers in our 2019-2020 Annual Catalog for the background.  I then pulled my colors from the paper -- Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron and used these as background circles.  I used my heart punch to punch out three hearts to make the shamrock.

Remember, you can come to any of the three classes in October to make your calendar!  Just check in as going to reserve your spot on my Facebook page, Desiree's Emporium, and go to Events.

February 2020

For the February calendar, we're using some retired products from Stampin' Up!  The XOXO designer series papers are leftovers from years ago and I thought these would make a great background for February!

Did you get the Party Panda stamp set during Sale-A-Bration last year?  If so, you'll be able to make this one at home!  I stamped the Panda with the heart on whisper white and used the retired Circle framelits to cut him out.  I layered him on Real Red Glimmer paper.  I then popped him up on dimensionals.  I used Smoky Slate  cardstock for the background.

See you soon!

Happy Crafting,

Are You READY?

Yes, the next few months are going to fly by so I thought we'd get a head start on our 2020 calendars.  I will be hosting classes on October 10, 17, and the 24th for those who would like to attend.  Supplies are limited due to retired papers being used.

January's calendar features the new Holiday Stamp set, Snowman Season.  The punch is available as well and you can save $$$ by getting it as a bundle for 10% off.

I also used the Let It snow Designer Series Paper for the background and added the felt scarf which is part of the Let It Snow Embellishment Kit.

Come back tomorrow for February's calendar!

Flap Card

Today's share is the third card we will be making in tonight's class.  This is a flap card and very simple to create.  I'm using retired foil papers, Silver Foil Papers, and thick Whisper White cardstock.

Simple but elegant; this card can have many different sentiments on it.  Wedding, birthday, thanks, get well, thinking of you, etc.

I hope to see you in card class tonight!

Magnolia Lane

Today's share is another simple card using Magnolia Lane. I cased (copy and share everything!) this from a card I made years ago using the Pansy punch and stamp set.

I used both flowers in the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. First, the smaller magnolia bud and versamark to create the background. I then stamped the larger full bloom magnolia on whisper white cardstock and fussy cut it out. I popped this up on dimensionals.

Check out the new ribbon--it's one of our new In-Colors. I really love the look of linen and ribbon.

We will also be making this card on Sep 10, at 6 PM.

Noble Peacock Foils

Today's share is a card I cased from a fellow demonstrator, Tracy E. I love the elegance of this card yet it is simple to make.  If you haven't seen the Noble Peacock Foil papers, be sure to stop in and check them out.

We will be making this card on September 10th in our 6 PM class.  I placed a  Pearlized Doily on top of the solid foil.  I then put the sentiment on top of the doily.  The whole sentiment is popped up on dimensionals.

2019 Holiday Catalog

The 2019 Holiday Catalog is live!  I've placed a link on my home page.  Click on the catalog to the right, and you can download to your computer until you get your hard copy.  I have these available -- stop in and pick up yours today!

September's Host code is:  WFUQ4PAR.  Only use this if your order is less than $150.00.  If you're not sure about what you want, stop in and see the new products in person!

Happy Crafting,

Desiree

I cancelled classes yesterday due to still experience sciatic never pain.  I've had two shots in the last five days -- hoping for more relief with Physical Therapy starting next week.  As of today, I'm able to stand straight and walk without bending over.  That's a big improvement.

Up Line Inspiration

Today's share is a card I made for my down line, Julie.  I was inspired by Lori H., another demonstrator in our group of Iowa Inkers.

I used retired designer series papers and a set that was only available for one month last year.  I love this set and will be hosting another card class using it for my new stampers.

Another pretty card that really stands on its own!

Paint Your Art

Today's share is a card I made for my Stampin' Up! demonstrator up line meeting.  I love how this came out and had enough to send to my down line as well!

I used the Paint Your Art Suite for this card.  Notice the edging at the bottom -- yes, it's a die!  Absolutely love it.  The background is the Buttons Embossing Folder and I used one of the other framelits to cut out my sentiment.  The ribbon die was perfect -- love how the new dies get a better cut.  The designer series paper is also Paint Your Art.

Class Reminder

Don't forget I have classes set up for 2 and 6 pm tomorrow using the Woven Heirloom Bundle.  Here are the three cards we'll be making.

The top card we'll be using Lovely as a Tree.  In the current catalog, Winter Woods would be perfect for this card.  The Merry Christmas is from our Merry Christmas to All stamp set.

The bottom left card is using older stamp sets.  We're using Butterfly Gala, Beauty Abound, and Itty Bitty Greetings for this card.  And the bottom right is Woven Heirloom.  Hope to see you tomorrow!

Toile for Christmas

I had a customer come in looking for a special Thank You card.  She found several she liked, but preferred one with a cardinal on it.  Thankfully, as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I get to preorder from the Holiday Catalog!  My stamp set was already on its way to me so I told her to come back by Thursday and I would have it done.

My set came in and I cased this card from our Holiday Catalog, except I used the Thank You stamp from the Daisy Delight stamp set. You will be able to purchase this bundle, Toile for Christmas, starting on September 4th.

Well, more than a week had passed and I decided I would hold this card back because I have several family members that love cardinals as well.  To my surprise, this customer returned earlier last week and purchased the card!

I hope you enjoy today's share,
