2017 Calendars

Before I talk about today's share, I want to wish each of you a very Happy New Year.  Be safe tonight and look for more updates coming soon on upcoming classes.

Today's share are the desktop calendars I created for 2017. These set inside the cover of a CD case.  I store the remaining months on the backside so I don't lose them!

For January, I used two retired Stampin' Up! stamp sets for January.  I just love Frosty and when Stampin' Up! came out with Best of Snow, I knew which stamp I would use the most -- mini Frosty.  I popped him up on dimensionals after fussy cutting him for the calendar.  I used Holiday Cheer for my words.

For February, I used the retired stamp set, Sprinkled Expressions.  Not everyone celebrates Valentine's Day, but everyone has someone to love in their life.

Come back Monday for March and April's calendars!

Clipboard Style Post It Notes

Today's share are Clipboard style Post It Note Holders.  For this project, I used some of the 4 X 4 Chipboard coasters I use for our 4 X 4 calendars.  I covered them with retired Designer Series Papers and added a large binder clip.  Some of these I wrapped in Washi Tape, others were already decorated.  I also added bows to each of the clips to dress them up.

Add a Post It Note, and you have a great gift for someone!

Simple Post It Note Holders

Here are some of the simple Post It Note Holders I made so my shelves wouldn't look so bare since all the Christmas shoppers came through!

I had some 3 X 3 white squares that I ran through the Big Shot, using a variety of embossing folders.  I then found the punched out flowers I already had prepared and matched them up to pop them on the front covers.

These make really nice little "pick-me-up" gifts and are great year round.

Stop in and see me sometime at Desiree's Craftroom, located inside the Branson Mill Craft Village.  I'm there most days (I'm still trying to settle in so I can have an Open House in my new space!).  Remember, their new hours are 9am to 6pm.

Special Order Framed Art

I had a young lady stop in to see if I could change up one of my Father's Day pieces so she could give it to her Grandpa (Dad, because he raised her) for Christmas.  We decided to cut off the shirt I had on it and replace it with the anchor from Guy Greetings, and added the words "You Are My Anchor," also from Guy Greetings.

We were both happy with the transformation.  I haven't heard how "Dad" liked it yet, but I will let you know as soon as I hear!

Special Gift Toppers

I hope I don't spoil the surprise, but I had a local customer come in and ask for some ideas on toppers for Christmas presents.  I had an ornament on the wall (yes, it's gone!), and we took that as a pattern and created these toppers.

I love the combination and red and silver on these.  Kathy, thank you for coming in and crafting with me!

If you need something special for that special someone, stop in at Desiree's Craftroom, located inside the Branson Mill Craft Village, and visit with me.  We can brainstorm and come up with some ideas!

Girls Getaway

This is a class I held a couple of weeks ago.  These ladies contacted me prior to coming to Branson for a visit and scheduled a Christmas Stamp-A-Stack class.  I'm so glad they came and stamped with me!  It motivated me to get my cards made so they could be mailed BEFORE Christmas!

Cindy is a crafter after my own heart.  I don't know about you, but I craft better when I'm standing up!  Doesn't matter what height of table, how comfortable the chair is, etc.

If you have a group that you would like to bring in and stamp or create a variety of projects, please contact me!

Thank you, Tammy, Cindy, and Kim for coming in and stamping with me!

Mini Cup Holders

Today's share is not new, but I wanted to share with you what I've been crafting at the Branson Mill Craft Village.

I used the retired Wintergreen Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers for a Starburst class and had to do something with the rest of the papers.  Once I started working with it, I couldn't decide which pattern was my favorite!

I made these cute little wraps for my mini coffee cups.  I then created a stand, using Chris' design for the Gift Card Holder.

Pretty soon, I will need to start on Valentine's cups.  Can you imagine getting a necklace, earrings, or a ring inside one of these?  You'd never guess what your gift is, would you?

New Store Look

Warning!  Lots of pictures.  Here are some updated pictures of how my store looks.  Excuse the mess, but we are a work in progress!

When you first walk into the Branson Mill Craft Village, you will enter through the center doors to the floor where you will find many stores with a variety of product for sale.  If you turn right, Desiree's Craftroom is located on the corner of the second aisle.

To greet you, we have a Merry Christmas Banner on our display case.  Inside the case are projects (cards and scrapbooking kits) that you can make while you are visiting.

On top of the counter, we have our Christmas items on display.  Here, you can see the various Hershey Nugget Trays, Hershey Kiss Christmas Trees and some Gift Card Holders.

On this side, we have the Christmas Hershey Bar Wraps, and yes, we do have real Hershey Bars in each one!

As you go to the crafting station, our table has a new home! There is a leaf that can be added to expand so we can fit up to 6 people comfortably.

Next, we have our new shelves that were put in.  We removed the tables because they were taking up too much floor space leaving little room to walk around and shop! Things have been moved around since this picture was taken, but you can see the size of the new shelves here.

This is the corner where some more product is on display.

Here is one of the shelves that displays some product on the trays and on the new shelving units.

The Critter Box Kits are on display on the lower shelf so I can present this option when people stop to look at the Critter Boxes that are put together.

Here are the Purse Gift Card Holders that are on display. They all say Merry Christmas and have an extra tag hanging so you can add the person's name on the tag.  Then place this on the Christmas tree and have the family find their present!

Here are the ornaments that I currently have available for sale.  Some are single ornaments as I wanted to see how they would sell before I made up a bunch.

And here are the Critter Boxes that sit on top of the other display case.  Inside the display case is some Stoneware that we have for sale.

I hope you will take time out of your busy schedule to stop in and see our progress.  We're trying to add new items every day.  In fact, the 2017 Calendars are now available for sale. Pictures will be coming of the calendar soon!

Birthday Bright Project Kit

Hi, friends!  It's been kind of hectic at my store with redesigning the layout so I have more room for crafting and classes!  So today, I'm sharing another video from Stampin' Up! Brandi and her daughter showcase the new Birthday Bright Project Kit.

If you like having cards ready to go, this kit may be for you! Brandi walks you through making each project in the kit. These are nice to have on hand when you need a quick card or if you just want to play with supplies that are precut for you.

Check out the new kit coming out in January!

New Occasions Catalog Preview

Stop in and watch  Shannon West, of Stampin' Up! home office, demonstrate a new product coming out on January 4th.  Years ago, Stampin' Up! had some Watercolor Crayons but those have been retired for some time.

Coming in January, are new Watercolor Pencils!  We had a chance to play with these at On-Stage last month.  They are slim and easy to use.

Take a few minutes and watch Shannon .....

More Gift Card Holders

Today's share are some gift card holders I made using the Envelope Punch Board.  I used some of the retired Wooden Snowflake Embellishments as well as some retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers to finish these.

I made these so you can cut the ornament off and put on your tree as well.  Two gifts for the price of one!

Simply take a piece of 5 X 5 Designer Series paper and align at the 2" mark on your Envelope Punch Board.  Punch and score.  Then turn your paper and align at the 3" mark on the board.  Punch and score.  Turn again, align on the 2" mark and punch and score.  Last turn, align on the 3" mark, punch, but DON'T score!  This is the tab that stays unfolded.

Fold the bottom up and then the left side over the bottom. Then bring the right side over.  I used a combination of Snail and Tombow Liquid Glue on these as I made them in different locations -- had to use what I had at home!

Then embellish your front!

You can sign up for a Two or a Four Item gift class and use my materials and tools to make these.  Just come into the Branson Mill Craft Village and come to Desiree's Craftroom to start creating!

Cookie Cutter Christmas

Today's share are some gift card holders I made using the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper. This paper is being retired on January 3, 2017 and is on the Year End Close Out sale.  Be sure to order yours today before they run out!  These are too cute to miss out on the DSP.

I also used the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp set and coordinating punch. I stamped and colored Santa's suit red and then mounted on dimensionals.  I also added "Merry Christmas" from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Another pouch I made, I used retired DSP, but I love how the Eskimo pops on this one.

Remember, your loved ones can contact me to place an order for your Christmas present so if you want Stampin' Up! product for Christmas, let your loved ones know how to contact me.  You will need to send me your wish list so I can let them know what you want!

Merry Tags Framelits

Today I'm highlighting a set of framelits that I've been wanting to play with for some time.  As busy as I've been, I haven't been good about taking pictures of the projects or the classes that I've held.  So with that said, I will try to do better!

Last night I played with this set.  I love how this ornament came out.  I didn't buy the coordinating stamp set, but even with just the framelits, you can make some really beautiful gifts!  I'm going to play with the tree next and hope to have updates here in the next couple of days.

I diecut the ornament piece and then used dimensionals to pop it up on the Night of Navy circle.  My circle punches are at the store, so I cut these on my Cricut.  I took the bone folder and broke down the navy circle so it would bend easier to insert into the ornament.  I then used tweezers to straighten it out.  As an afterthought, I added the gold thread to the ornament and looped it through the top of the ornament so it wouldn't slip and slide inside.  I also used some retired Stampin' Up! Mica Flakes to add snow inside the ornament.

And the nice thing is these are on sale for 50% off!  Yes, these are on the Year End Closeout Sale so be sure to order yours today!

Remember, I'm just a phone call away if you need any help in using any supplies that you've got stashed away.
