Angled Cut Golden Honey

Today's share is a card I made from the scraps as well.  I learned this technique from Christy G. which I posted a card we made in our Tuesday night class.  You can see it here.

I decided after seeing all the scraps I had that I would try this technique with the papers.  I do like how it turned out!

Let me know what you think of this card/technique!

Thank You Golden Honey

Today's share are to "Thank You" cards using the Golden Honey Designer Series Papers.  Since I had pieces all cut at different sizes, I decided to use them wisely!

My sentiment is from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set which is now retired.  I popped up both panels, gluing the with branches to the bottom right honeycomb panel and adding a dimensional to the bottom corners of the branch panel.

This next card was made with scraps as well.  I decided to pop the flagged banner on dimensionals adding gold glimmer paper to make this a more elegant "thank you" card.

I hope you are enjoying these Golden Honey cards.  I have one more set to post and then we'll be all caught up!

Golden Honey Elegant Birthday

Today's share is one card -- but very elegant!  I love playing with dies for framing my sentiments, don't you?

First, I layered a piece of Basic Black cardstock measuring 3-3/4 X 5 inches.  Then I cut the designer series paper down to 3-1/2 X 4-3/4.  I then stamped my sentiment from Here's A Card stamp set.  I die cut it with the Stitched Rectangle dies.  I added that to the frame from Stitched Labels Framelits set.

Of course I popped this up on dimensionals.

This is a birthday card that anyone would love to receive in the mail.  Don't you think so too?

More Golden Honey

Today's share are cards I made using a variety of sentiments focusing on the Golden Honey Designer Series Papers (DSP).  This set of cards are all using the Honeycomb die.  I love how the gold pops on each of these cards.

I simply cut a piece of the Golden Honey DSP and mounted on the Gold Trimmed card base.  This is 3-1/4 X 4-1/2 so I could leave a little white between the layers.  I used Liquid Tombow glue to adhere the honeycomb.  I then die cut the sentiment using the So Sweetly Dies and the frame is from the Stitched Labels Framelit dies.

For the second card, I cut the DSP at 3-1/2 X 4-3/4 to cover all the white on this card.  The paper blends with the Gold trim, don't you think?  Again, I added the honeycomb pieces and then popped the sentiment up on dimensionals.  The frame for the sentiment is die cut using the Stitched Labels Framelits.

For the third card, I didn't have Gold Foil papers at home, so I improvised.  I cut one of the cards up to get the gold strip in the center.  I placed the DSP on card base, then added the gold strip.  I didn't like all that white, so I added two honeycomb pieces.  The bumble bee was fussy cut from the DSP.  I had a little blooper and needed to cover it up!

I hope you enjoyed today's share.  I'll be back tomorrow with another Golden Honey Card.

Beautiful Moments

I held a class some time ago using the Beautiful You stamp set.

Since that set has been retired, and I sold mine, I decided to make the same three cards using Beautiful Moments.

I love how all three turned out, and if you're interested I still have a few of these cards cut and ready to go.  Just let me know when you'd like to come in and make cards.  My crafting table is in the atrium and allows for social distancing!

Golden Honey Designer Series Birthday Cards

Here are two more cards I made using the Golden Honey Designer Series Papers.   There are so many ways to use these papers!  I need to get back into this designer series papers to finish it up and get it off my dining room table!

Yes, you read right -- I'm crafting these at home and the mess is on my dining room table.  I need to finish so I can have a clean crafting space again!

I used blends to add color and then coordinated cardstock for a different look.

I hope you enjoy your day and make someone happy - send a card!

A Good Man

Today's share is the third card we'll be making in our August card class.  I've found lots of inspiration for this card but focused on Christy G.'s technique of cutting the In Good Taste Designer Series Papers.

I will ask that if you sign up to come to class, please bring your paper trimmer for this one time.  You will be cutting your patterns yourself!

We're using a new In-Color, Misty Moonlight, for the card base.  We'll be using watercolor pencils and Blender Pens to complete our Good Man!

I hope you will sign up for one of my classes where we will be making this card.  Be sure to check the times, as one is a daytime class and the other is an evening class.  Both classes are limited to 6 to accommodate social distancing.

Love What You Do Pedestal Card

Today's share is another card we will be making in August.  This is a pedestal card I played with earlier in the year.  I love different folds for different occasions.  Specialty cards are for those who I know will appreciate the time and effort to create the cards for them.

For class, we'll be using Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake which are the three colors in the Designer Series Papers, Share What You Love (retired).

This is the front and below is the card opened.

And this is the card on display.

If you like this design and want to learn how to make, be sure to sign up for my class.  Those who mark INTERESTED are not included in the count of who is GOING.  I only have six slots open to accommodate appropriate space between us.  This class will be held during the day and in the evening.  Be sure to check the times on the class you sign up for.

Lovely Lily Pad

Today's share is a card I CASED (Copy And Share Everything) from a fellow demonstrator, Jan Chung, who is in my Stampin' Up! family, Iowa Inkers.

We will be making this card in our August 11th and 18th (dates corrected!) card classes. I needed to use up some of my retired Designer Series Papers, so I thought I would show you a different style card using the retired Lily Impressions papers. I don't have the dotted ribbon, so substituted with what I have on hand!

Hopefully this will inspire you to use some of your papers you've been holding onto, not wanting to cut it up!

Poppin' Birthday Paper Pumpkin Card

Today is my sister, Kathleen's, birthday.  I made this card back in March or April and set it aside.  I'm amazed I didn't misplace it!

I used the Poppin' Birthday Paper Pumpkin kit to create this card.  This is the suggested card.

I did keep one back so I can create more cards with this pop technique.  I made two of these cards for family members so had to remember where I put them!

Do you make cards ahead of time and forget where they are?  I used to put mine in a Birthday card binder.  Now I have so many, I have them in a tote so I can go through and decide who is going to get which one.

Happy Birthday, Kathleen, Princess of Camelot Arms!

Golden Honey Thank You 2

So today's share is the last thank you card I've made so far using the Golden Honey designer series papers.

Again, you see the colored in bee-hives and bees!  I just layered this onto the Gold Foil-Edged card and placed a piece of basic black cardstock across the front.   This Thank You is from retired stamp set, Daisy Delight.  It's very elegant looking in person!

Have you made any Golden Honey DSP Cards?  Be sure to share them!

Golden Honey Thank You

I love to color!  I took the black and white floral paper from Golden Honey Designer Series Papers and colored the flowers using my blends.  In do this, I am able to pull some other colors into the mix.

This first card is done on Melon Mambo.  I layered a piece of Crumb Cake and then the colored flowers.

This next card is done in retired Wisteria Wonder.

I hope you get some inspiration from these cards.  There is so much you can add when using black and white designer series papers.

Come back tomorrow for my last Golden Honey Thank You!

Golden Honey Thank You

How would you like to receive one of these Thank You Cards?  I decided to post all three of these together since they all have the basic design.  Thank you, Jeanie S., for the inspiration!

This first card has a simple Thank you.

This second card is to thank a friend.

This is the same as the second card except I turned it to open from bottom instead of from the right.  I truly love this design!

What do you think?  Ready to send a friend a thank you card?  Stop in today and purchase these in my store, or create them yourself!

You Made My Day

You Made My Day!  This is another card using the Golden Honey Designer Series Paper.

Who doesn't like a receiving a card -- especially if it is to let you know how much you are appreciated?  This says "You Made My Day" from the Here's A Card stamp set.

This is a black and white design, so I was able to use whatever I wanted.  I used Petal Pink for the card base and coloring in the flowers.  I put a layer of Basic Black between the card base and paper. I used one of my stitched framelits for the outline and popped this up with a dimensional.

I'll be selling all of these cards in my store, so if you want one, be sure to let me know!

Golden Honey Hello

Second day of Golden Honey!  Today's share is a variation of cards I found on Pinterest using the Golden Honey Designer Series Papers.

I will be alternating phrases so you don't get bored!

Who doesn't like a "just because" card?  This says "Hello there" from the Here's A Card stamp set.  Again, you see the bees and hives are colored in.  I added another piece of Golden Honey and layered on the Gold Foil-Edged card.  I used one of my stitched framelits for the outline and popped this up with a dimensional.

I'll be selling all of these cards in my store, so if you want one, be sure to let me know!  Don't worry, I'll be making more since I still have another full sheet of this paper!

Bumble Bee Birthday

Today's share is a card I made after I was inspired by all the beautiful designs on Pinterest using the Golden Honey Designer Series Papers I received from Sale-A-Bration.  I just now was able to do a little research and creativity.

I will be featuring a variety of cards and will consolidate those that are similar so as not to flood you with my designs!

First up is the Happy Birthday using the Golden Honey DSP.  I colored in the white of the hives and bumble bees and then added a strip of glimmer paper over black cardstock for a contrast.  The DSP is mounted onto Stampin' Up! retired Gold Foil Edged Cards & Envelopes.   I only made one of these so far.

I'll be selling these so if you want one, be sure to let me know!  Don't worry, I'll be making more since I still have another full sheet of this paper!
