Third Card for November Card Class

First, I'd like to wish everyone a safe and Happy Halloween. Hopefully you finished your Halloween treats to hand out today!  Here are a couple that I will be handing out tonight.

Halloween Poppers made using the Envelope Punch Board

Another Envelope Board Pocket Pouch using Haunt Ya Later

Today's card is one that I revamped from two years ago! This was a quick card to make and get out in the mail.  Since I had quite a few pieces left over, I thought we should use them up!

We're using the new Softly Falling Embossing folder.  I put the raised dots on the backside for a different effect.  Using Ornamental Pines (retired stamp set) and Mossy Meadow ink, I stamped the pine branch and then layered my candles. Lastly, I added the Merry Christmas across the bottom. On the inside, I stamped the words from Ornamental Pines and stamped a little pine cone in the bottom corner.

I hope you enjoy this card.  Remember, my next card class is on November 7th, from 2-5 pm.  Please let me know if you plan on attending so I have enough supplies cut and ready to craft.

Second Card for Classes in November

Today's share is a card I designed because there are many uses for our Envelope Punch Board.  Two of my class attendees have the punch board but haven't really used it. This card was inspired by Catherine Pooler -- she has a great video that shows you how to make a variety of Envelope Punch Board cards with the tabs in various places!

Front of Card with slide off Gold Satin Bow

Inside - Heat Embossed

Hopefully this card will inspire you to pick up your Envelope Punch Board and create some awesome cards and/or crafts. Remember, I also used the Envelope Punch Board to create the poppers I made for Halloween and for the Christmas stocking stuffers!

Be sure to share your creations; I'd love to see them!

November Card Class

I have the below listed dates scheduled to have card class -- we will be making four different cards with envelopes. I am in the process of designing our cards.  Here is the first card, using the negative image from some die cuts to show you how to make your supplies stretch. Card class is $10 for four cards and envelopes.

On this card, we're using the negative image from some snowflake ornaments I created earlier. First I ran the silver foil paper through my big shot, using the precision base plate to die cut the Merry out.  I set the words aside.  Then I adhered the negative snowflake on the Night of Navy cardstock and then used dimensionals to pop on the silver foil paper. Instead of a button, I punched a 1/2 inch circle and added it with a dimensional and added a little white twine bow.  This makes this card super easy to mail!

The following dates are my scheduled Card Classes:

November 7th, from 2-5 pm
November 9th from 10-1 pm
November 12th from 6-9 pm

If none of these dates work for you, let me know if you can get a few of your friends together for a 3 hour increment and I would be glad to have a class for your group.

Happy Crafting!

Card Buffet Tonight

Tonight is the last night for October Card Buffet.  We have a few masculine cards still on the buffet as well as get well and birthday!

Starting on November 5th, I will be putting some of the cards we made in October on the buffet.  Remember, card buffets are not a class!  If you don't know how to create the card, please don't select it off the buffet. . . I will have some of the Dryer Sheet technique cards on the buffet in November.

If you haven't checked out my events for November, be sure to do so!  Then scroll for December's events!

I did change up the Christmas Card classes as well.  If you'd like to purchase a kit with the stamp sets, just let me know.  If you prefer to just come and make your cards at Desiree's Craftroom, be sure to contact me so I can have the supplies cut and ready for you to stamp and create your cards!  You will need to pre-pay/pre-order your cards in order for me to have all the supplies ready when you arrive.

Look for the weekly deals later today!

Cape Fair Community Center Craft Fair Update

I had a great time Saturday at the Cape Fair Homemakers Craft Fair.  If you didn't come out to see me, you missed some really good food, friendship, and great selection of Christmas ideas.

Since I forgot to publish my post on Saturday, here are some pictures of the items I took on Saturday.  First up, my husband thought I needed to have some Christmas card packets, so I made packages of four Christmas cards with envelopes.

These cards are ones I'm offering the whole month of November for my group of crafters to make.  I picked three of the five to choose from.

If you'd like to come and make your Christmas cards, let me know which card you'd like to make and how many so I have enough supplies cut for you to get them done in one day!

Here are some of the other things I took.  Some of these will be going up to my booth at Picker's Market when I have my Christmas Sale, so if you haven't gotten all your stocking stuffers, you can chose any of these!

Santa Post It Notes

Santa Hershey Bar Wraps

Herhsey Nugget Box

Just a reminder, I will be in Cape Fair tomorrow from 10-4 for their Community Craft Fair.  If you're in the area, be sure to stop in and say, "Hi."

Special Request!

Yes, I do special orders/requests.  I received a message from a friend that is like a sister to me.  Jackie and I worked together when I worked at Grand Forks Air Force Base as a Secretary.  Jackie's granddaughter, Jaiden, is turning 12 in December and wants to make her own invitations.

Only request was to use purple and she loves giraffes!

Here's what I came up with -

Jaiden loves the invitation -- I only hope she loves it as much after she puts 10 of these together!

Punches used:  Small Oval, Owl Builder, Blossom Builder, Bird Builder, Washi Tape, Word Window, Slot, 2,  3/4 and 1/2 inch circle punches.  I used the circle framelits to cut the Soft Suede window to have the giraffe's head pop out.

Be sure to let me know if you have a special event you need help with!

Weekly Deals

Before I head out the door this morning, here are this week's deals! This cute Bow Builder Punch we used on a birthday card in January and in our card buffets.  It's not just for Christmas!  You can make multiple designs of bows with this punch and they are super easy to assemble! Also on sale is the silver vellum foil.  We used this on several cards last year and it really brightens up your cards!
Available October 20-October 26 and only while supplies last!

Special Birthday Card

Today, our grandson, Carter, turns 2.  Daddy told me he is really into Minions, so here is a card I cased from Pinterest for Carter.  This card is late for his birthday, but I don't think Carter will mind me sharing with you!

I used the Owl Builder Punch for the body and all the eyes, feet, and hands.  Also for the bottom of the balloons.  I used the small Oval punch for the balloons.  The Happy Birthday verse is from a retired Stampin' Up! stamp set, Bring on the Cake.

I hope you enjoy today's card!
