More Card Buffets Scheduled

I've added two more Card Buffets to my schedule for September.  We have one for tomorrow evening, from 6-9, in Desiree's Craftroom as well as one scheduled for September 8th, same time. We have some cards left over from last month's classes that will be added to the buffet to select which card you want to make.

Card buffet is $2.50 for each card you make.  You decide which card or cards you want to make and how many of each card.

Be sure to let me know if you plan on stopping in to craft one of these cards!

Balloons, Balloons!

Don't you love balloons?  Well today's card was inspired from a few One Sheet Wonder classes that I've offered in the past. Since I had the Back to Black Designer Series Paper already cut, I put it to use for September's Card Class.

I don't have any balloon framelits or dies, but this is how I made these.  I used Stampin' Up! Small Oval Punch and the Owl Builder Punch to create these balloons.  Don't you think they are cute?

I also used the retired stamp set, Bring on the Cake for this card and added more color to it by coloring in the "Birthday."

If you're not local to Hollister, MO, and would like these four cards, be sure to send me an email.  I'd love to put them together for you or I can send you the packet of materials and you use what stamps you have!  I have a PDF file of how to assemble these cards that I will include with the packet of materials.  Each packet is $10 plus shipping.

You're In My Thoughts

Are you a paper hoarder?  If you haven't seen a trend, I'll point it out for you!  I'm using the retired Back to Black Designer Series Paper (DSP) for the September Card Classes.  Would you believe I had five packages of this DSP?  I found this card on Pinterest and fell in love with the simplicity of it. A big shout out to Mary Fish, Stampin' Pretty, for this inspiration.

I cut a piece of the Basic Black cardstock and mounted on the Whisper White.  I then added a piece of the Back to Black DSP and used the 2-1/2 circle punch and cut another coordinating piece of the Back to Black DSP.   I added a little color using the red ribbon.  If you wanted to take more time, you could use your markers or blender pens and color the flowers and leaves on the circle.  I chose to keep it simple.  I then stamped the words from the stamp set A Dozen Thoughts.  This stamp set has a lot of phrases that could be used, so it is a very useful set to have around.

I used dimensionals to pop the phrase off the circle.  I used the small scallop punch and my paper snips to cut the scallop to look like a flower.  I used some retired Neutrals buttons for the center of the flower.  You could also use the Owl Builder Punch and/or candy dots for the center.  I used a glue dot to attach the flower.

All of this was then mounted on a Basic Black base and I also have words stamped inside on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.

I hope you enjoy today's card and will join us for one of my two September Card Classes.

Happy Birthday!

Today is my baby brother's birthday and this is the basic card I made for him.  I dressed ours up a little by adding the Basic Jewels.

This card is made using the Whisper White cardstock.  I chose this so you can see the difference in weight!  I did mount this on a piece of Basic Black cardstock to give it some more umph.  Is that a word?

I used the Back to Black retired Designer Series Paper for the background and added a little Bermuda Bay cardstock to give it some contrast.  I then added two thinner strips of Bermuda Bay cardstock to highlight the heart.  We're going to use the Hearts Framelits for this card and we'll be heat embossing our words so they pop!

I didn't have enough of the Neutrals Candy Dots, so I made mine using the Owl Builder Punch and Basic Black cardstock scraps.  I added these to the Bermuda Bay strips -- I like how it turned out!

I hope you enjoy today's card and don't forget to put September 6th or the 26th Card Class on your schedule so you can join me in making this card!

Little Letters Thinlits

I'm in love with the Little Letter Thinlets!  I've used them on a variety of projects and we're going to use them on one of our cards for September's Card Classes.  Card class is scheduled for either September 6th, from 2-6 pm OR September 26th, from 9-Noon.

I used the Back to Black Designer Series Paper, backed on Basic Black cardstock.  I then mounted the squares on the new Whisper White Thick cardstock.  Many of you know that I wasn't fond of Whisper White cards due to the weight of the cardstock.  Well, you're going to love the new weight of this cardstock.

I then used Real Red cardstock and cut my letters using the Little Letters Thinlits.  They are so easy to use and add so much to your project, whether it's a card, scrapbook page, or adding a name to an ornament.  I used the new Fine Tip Glue Pen to attach the letters to the card.  I used a little too much on the "O" and discovered the cardstock color bled through when I tried to move it.  This is one of my "Oops!" but that is how we learn!

I hope you will join me one of these two days to make this card.

Punches, Punches

Yes, today, I have four more punches to share with you.  Now yesterday's share had one of the punches on sale.  Today, another new set of Weekly Deals comes out so I don't know at this time if any of these four are on sale.  Check the link and if they are on sale, it will reflect the sale price!

These first two punches were used this month in card class.  You can see the card made with these here.

This punch is so verstatile that it is my "go to" punch quite often.  I've used this on many of the critter boxes as well as a variety of cards.  Click here to see one of our Christmas cards where we will be using this punch.

Last up is the Bird Builder Punch.  I LOVE this punch.  There is so much you can do with this. Check out the card I made using this punch.  Also, I used this on the Raccoon and Sheep Critter boxes!

Today I'm sharing a few more paper punches to make crafting easier. And they give your cards and projects that added oomph.

Here are the four punches I'm featuring today.

If you are following my blog, then you've seen many instances where I've used the Owl Builder Punch. I used the bow builder punch on this card.

Pumpkins!

Isn't this pumpkin cute?  What ghost or ghoul wouldn't want to receive this when they go "Trick or Treat?"  You can make these for your Halloween treat basket.  Can't make one of my classes?  You can invite your family and friends into your home and I'll come in and show everyone how to make these.

Ignore the mess on the Stampin' Up! grid sheet.  We'll be making more messes when we create these. I used the Hardwood background stamp and Pumpkin Pie (no pun intended) ink pad to give the pumpkin a little textured look.  I used the retired Blossom punch for the leaves and then embossed them with the retired Spider Web Embossing Folder.

Using the stamp set from August 2015, Paper Pumpkin, I carefully stamped "For You" in Soft Suede ink and then die cut the tab with one of three choices included in the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlet set.

To finish off, I used the Very Vanilla Thick Baker's Twine to attach the tag.

Let me know if you have any questions.  Special orders are welcome!

Stampin' Up! Punches

Have you looked at all the punches Stampin' Up! has to offer? Paper punches make crafting so much easier. And they give your cards and projects that added punch (pun intended!)! Here are four punches I'm featuring today. I used the Tree builder punch on my daughter's card here. I used the tree topper for my clouds! How cute is that? And here, I used the triple banner punch to create perfect banners. Scissors work great, but there is no guessing with this punch!

Here is a sampling of some of our punches. Be sure to check them out and if you have any questions on multi-purpose uses, let me know!

Price: $17.00
Come back tomorrow for some more punch highlights!

Christmas Ornaments

I know it's not even fall yet, but don't you get excited about Christmas ornaments?  I just love these aluminum flashing ornaments I made a few years back with the now retired Stampin' Up! Snowflake die.

So I wanted to add some color.  I've never played with Ranger Inks or any other alcohol inks, but decided I'd have to give it a try since that is the only thing I knew that would stick to aluminum.  Here I used a blue alcohol ink and added in a white mixative.  I really like the way these turned out.

And here is a set I made using the same blue alcohol ink and used a gold mixative.  I like these, too!

Be sure to let me know what you think!

Terrific Tuesday -- Weekly Deals and More

I will post the weekly deals as soon as I can.  In the meantime, here's what I did with all the scraps from the red foil paper from yesterday's project.  I absolutely LOVE this!  It's so shiny.

I used the new Festive Flower Builder punch on this.  First I punched a BUNCH of the larger leaf and then I punched a bunch of the smaller leaf and started glueing to a red card stock scalloped base.  I punched two of the smaller pieces to add to the center and then a pearl to finish it off.

Be sure to let me know if you need a new Holiday catalog!

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a blessed weekend.  I was busy doing some crafting and want to share what I worked on.  Today's project was created using new and old Stampin' Up! products.  The new?  Well, hopefully soon you will get your new Holiday catalog and see all the new items!

I used the new Delicate Ornament Thinlets Die on the red foil sheets to create the background of this beautiful ornament.  I then used the retired Ornament Keepsakes die and the new Merry Moments Designer Series Paper to create the 3-dimensional look.  I grabbed some white tulle and hemp twine to add some texture to the ornament.  I added a 3/4 strip of paper that I scored at 1/2 inch increments and glued to the center.  I then added a Vintage Multi-faceted button and a pearl to finish it off.

Come back tomorrow to see what I made with the leftover red foil from this project.

Be sure to let me know what you think of this ornament!

Sneak Peek Delicate Ornament Thinlet Dies

Today we're meeting in Desiree's Craftroom to make some Critter Curvy Keepsake boxes.  So this post is about what I crafted the last two days.

You saw that I received my Holiday Catalog preorder and these were created using the new Delicate Ornament Thinlet Dies, the Precision Base Plate and the new Red Foil Sheets.

First ornament die is gorgeous!  But I haven't figured out YET how to make this into a 3-dimensional ornament.

Second ornament die is a beautiful die and this ornament is 3-dimensional.

Then I tried using the same die with some retired Designer Series Paper.

Lastly, I tried the small round Delicate Ornament die.  It's gorgeous, too, as a 3-dimensional ornament.

Be sure to leave me a comment here on what you think of the new products!

Here's what I created using two new product from the catalog.  I also used retired gold Encore ink pad to stamp the veins of the flower.  Be sure to leave me a comment on what you think of this poinsettia.

Holiday Catalog Preorder

Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator means you get to order items before they are available to your customers.  This gives you time to learn how to use the new items and create some fabulous cards or present toppers!

Here's what my preorder looked like when I opened it.

Come back tomorrow to see what I've created!

Final Card from Weekend Stampin'

This is the last card we created this past weekend.  I absolutely LOVE this stamp, Get Well Soup.  I stamped the image on the Whisper White using Momento Black Ink.  I then used a scrap piece of Cucumber Crush card stock and stamped in Versa Mark and used Silver embossing powder to bring out the bowl.  I then fussy cut the bowl and spoon handle and popped up on dimensionals.  Using my White Signo Gel Pen, I colored the soup.

I hope you enjoyed the cards we made this month!

Our next Card buffet is tonight from 6-9 pm.  Then this Saturday, the 15th, we have our first Critter Class.

Hope you can join us!

Happy crafting,

Desiree'
