Masculine Birthday Spinner Card

September Card Class

This is one of two cards we'll be making during our card class on September 11th, from 6-8 pm, at the Branson Community Center.  Be sure to let me know if you plan on attending so I have enough supplies cut!

A big shout out to Carolyn H. for loaning me her Barn Door Bundle.  Today's share is a Christmas Card I cased from France M.  I love the effect and you need to see in person to appreciate it!  France used washers and I decided to play with this.  Julie E. came in and we did some playing around with Thick Whisper White cardstock.  We found that if we glued two half inch circles together and put a mini dimensional in the center and add this to our slider, with another half inch circle on top of the dimensional, this gave us a nice slider without the added weight!

Ornaments, Anyone?

So I cannot sit idle--on the road trip for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, I took along a retired ornament kit.

I was able to glue the Merry on the wood elements, tie bows for the ornaments and I was able to adhere the die cuts to the glitter papers while my husband was driving!

Thursday, I was able to finish putting these together with my glue gun.  I think these are stinkin' cute!

Here are closeups of the two different ornaments.

One more Merry Christmas to All

Okay, so I'm ready to move on to another stamp set, but before I do, I wanted to share this last card I made using the new Merry Christmas to All stamp set.  I hope you are getting excited about the versatility of this set.

For this card, I chose to use both words scripted.  This font is so pretty!  Mossy Meadow is the card base with Soft Suede as the layer.  Again, I used Cherry Cobbler and the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder.

I used my Stamparatus to align my words and then die cut using my Stitched Framelits.  I added a little of the new burlap ribbon to the side and later added the Sprig.  Guess what's going on my Wish List!

Another Merry Christmas to All

Today's card is one I was trying for masculine look.  The stamp set is Merry Christmas to All, and the papers are Festive Farmhouse.  I used Soft Suede for the card base, Early Expresso for the layer and then Mossy Meadow for the Tin Tile embossing.

I also used the new 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim, 147889, on this card.  I thought it needed a little more pizzazz.  I die cut my words using the Stitched Framelits from our annual catalog.

I love how this card is so versatile.  Imagine a Happy Birthday or Just Because for the sentiment -- a great masculine card, don't you think?

Christmas Blessings

Here is another card I made using the new stamp set, Merry Christmas to All and the new designer series papers coming out on September 5th.

For this card, I used the same stamp set, Designer Series Papers (DSP) and dynamic textured Embossing folder as I used on Wednesday.

Changing colors, I have a Crumb Cake base, Early Expresso layer, then my Cherry Cobbler Tin Tile embossed piece with the DSP.  I flagged my Christmas and snipped the Blessings.  These are two individual stamps so you can mix it up a little on the placement without cutting your stamps.

This is before I added the Sprig - using the new Sprig punch, 148012, which is in the Peaceful Noel Bundle.

With the sprig!

Thank you for visiting with me today,

Another Merry Christmas Card

This card is using the new stamp set, Farmhouse Christmas, 148478,  and coordinating Festive Farmhouse designer series paper.  I did pull out the Cable Knit Textured Dynamic Embossing Folder for this card.

I used Gray Granite cardstock for the base and Cherry Cobbler for the layer.  Using the coordinating dies with this stamp set made cutting the Merry Christmas so easy.  And it is stitched as well!

If you see any cards that you would like to make in a class, be sure to let me know.  I'm also going to prepare a paper share of the new designer series papers in the new Holiday Catalog.

Merry Christmas to All

What?  Christmas??  Yes, our new Holiday catalog will be live on September 1st to view, and you can start ordering on September 5th.  Don't forget to use those Bonus Coupons you earned in August!

For this card, I was inspired by a fellow demonstrator, Marie P.  I loved her layout, so I changed colors, designer series papers and here we are!

On this card, I used the new stamp set, Merry Christmas to All, 147702, which is a photopolymer set.  I also used the new Designer Series Papers, Festive Farmhouse, 147820.  Lastly, I used the new Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Embossing folder, 147906.

Yes, all three of these new items are from different suites.  Nothing says you have to limit yourself, right?

I pulled my colors from the designer series papers.  For this card I used Early Expresso as the base, Crumb Cake as a layer and then pulled in the Mossy Meadow for the tin tile.

I love that you can mix the phrases with the Merry Christmas to all.  Over the next few days, you will see many variations of how I mixed the different sayings.  I added a little Frost White Shimmer paint (oops, this is new as well, 147046) to Alcohol in my spritzer and spritzed my card.  I would recommend doing this before adding your layers!

And I thought I was done!

Then my fellow demonstrator, Rogene C., came to play and she brought her new stuff.  I punched a few sprigs out with her punch and thought, "Gee, these would make great Antlers!"  I love these so much better with the sprig!

I hope you enjoyed today's share.  I will have another card tomorrow using the same supplies!

One More Pleasant Pheasant

Okay, you're probably getting tired of this set, BUT I haven't even used all the images in the set yet!

This is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) from the Holiday catalog.  Hopefully by now you have yours and are making your wish list.  Remember, you can redeem your Bonus Coupons in September saving you $$ on your order.

I used the wheel barrel stamp on this card.  I also used the water color pencils on this card.  And check out the sentiment--isn't it wonderful?

I again smoothed my coloring out with the blender pens since I was using regular white cardstock.  There is another new product on this card -- check out the striped burlap trim!

Well, I'll be moving onto another stamp set for tomorrow.  I hope you enjoyed some previews of the Pleasant Pheasant stamp set!

Another Pleasant Pheasant

Today's share is another card I made using the Pleasant Pheasant stamp set.  I didn't want to take a lot of time coloring and my go to water color image is retired.  I used Work of Art for the "brushstroke" look.

The colors I used were Garden Green, Crushed Curry and Whisper White Cardstock.  I used Garden Green, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry for the brushstrokes as well. The bow is from the new braided twine in the Holiday catalog as well.

How do you like the "Happy Thanksgiving?"  I love the mixed fonts!

Pleasant Pheasants

This card is made with another new stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.  I love this one because of the holiday sentiment. This is another CASE from the catalog using watercolor pencils.

I just love the fonts and wording in this set.  What set is this?  Oh, it's called Pleasant Pheasants!  Think of the masculine cards you will be able to make with this set!  I hadn't planned on using my blender pens, but I colored a little too dark in some areas so used them to lift some color off.  I really like this card.  The weather-worn look on the Garden Green cardstock adds to the beauty of the card.

I do have to share that I'm not crazy about the whisper white piece that is cock-eyed.  BUT I did CASE the catalog.  If you like this, wait until you see another card I made -- using the Pheasants.

Remember, this set isn't available until September 5th, but i wanted to get your creative juices flowing!

His Light

Today's share is a card I made using some new product that will be available to you on September 5th.  If you haven't already received your Holiday catalog, be sure to contact me!

I used Balmy Blue cardstock for the base and Thick Whisper White for the layer.  Since I was die cutting the scene out using the Hometown Greeting Edgelits, I knew I wanted heavier cardstock.

This is a CASE from the new Holiday catalog, but my first attempt wasn't great.  I rescued this piece and used the new Shimmer Paint and Balmy Blue ink refill to color the bottom.  I then stamped in Night of Navy the "Rejoice" and in Momento Black Christ is born.  Both stamps are from the new set, His Light.

Here is the second card I made looking more like the Catalog card:

On this card, I did the shimmer paint on top of a 4 X 5-1/4 white piece of cardstock, then I layered a thin piece of Smokey Slate behind the hometown greeting edgelit.  I popped this Thick Whisper White die cut on dimensionals.

What do you think?

I will have more sneak peaks tomorrow, and if you come to card class, you will see the new products in person!

Z Fold Card

I had a customer come in and wanted to know about the Z-Fold cards.  Here is a card I made so I can show her the technique.

The stamp set I used is High Tide, and Tranquil Textures Designer Series Papers on this card.

I used Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide for the lighthouse and Crumb Cake for the sand and birds.  I hope you enjoy today's card!

My See Through Creation

Today's card is one I made after a couple of days went by from my play date with Julie.  I wanted to use up some of the supplies we had leftover from our play date; of course, I had to stamp more!  But I love this card.

Again, I used Rooted in Nature Stamp Set, Soft Suede and Pear Pizzazz inks.  To complement the Pear Pizzazz leaves (what we had stamped earlier), I used Shaded Spruce for the inside and for my trees.  The front sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set.

The sentiment inside is from Healing Hugs.  Because the front covers the sentiment, I didn't add a circle to this card.

Be sure to let me know which of these three See Through cards are your favorite!

Rooted In Nature See Through

Today's card is another one that Julie and I played with, trying to get this technique down AND find a set that I can use to teach with.  Lots of coloring in yesterday's card, so we were trying for something a little less time consuming.  With 10-14 ladies all wanting the same blends, it can be time consuming!  Unless, of course, you have more than one set of blends!!

This card uses Rooted in Nature.  The words are from the same set, and I used the Stitched Framelits to frame and layer the sentiment.  I also die cut some leaves out to add to this card where the ink turned red from the glue.

One thing we did discover is the Soft Suede ink does bleed red when we use the Tombow Liquid glue to adhere the pieces.  If you look closely, you can see red on the backside.

For the inside, I used Beautiful Promenade for the sentiment, using Soft Suede ink.

Come back tomorrow for the last See Through card I made.  Let me know which of the three is your favorite!

Julie's Play Date

So Julie came to play on a different day, but we were able to still share ideas.  This is a See Through card inspired by a video from Jennifer McGuire.  Once Julie showed this to me, we had to make it.  But first we had to wait for Julie's order to come in as I didn't have any current sets that I could do this with, or so I thought.

But first, here is our first card.  We used Petal Palette and dies to create this card.  We used Stampin' Blends, an old die to cut out the Hello, and Wink of Stella.

On the inside, we placed a 3" circle to hide our words and leave room for signing the card.

If this is a technique you want to learn, be sure to contact me to set up a class!  Look for Rooted in Nature tomorrow!

Blended Seasons Christmas Card

Today's share is the third card we will be making on August 17th, from 1-3 pm.  Be sure to let me know if you plan on attending so I have enough supplies cut and ready for you!

I've been playing a lot with this set and I really like how this turned out.  We are using Merry Merlot cardstock embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder.  I layered this on the Shaded Spruce card base.

I thought you can decide whether to fully color in the holly or leave them half colored, as I did. This needs a little pizzazz so we may want to add some Wink of Stella or Dazzling Diamonds to the center berries -- what do you think?

Desiree'

Another Blended Seasons Card

This is the second of three cards we will be making in card class on August 17th, from 1-3 pm.  We are using the limited stamp set, Blended Seasons.  This set is so versatile for year round cards.

I started with the Thick Whisper White card base.  I then added a piece of the Tea Room Specialty Designer Series paper to the back of the negative piece that I made yesterday's card from.  I then layered this on my card base.  I used Flirty Flamingo ink and stamped the lovely flowers on the top and bottom of my sentiment.  Both the flowers and the sentiment is from this stamp set.

You can see details for purchasing this set here.

Blended Seasons

Today's share is a card that we will be making in our August 17th Card Class.  We are using the Limited Time Available stamp set, Blended Seasons, 149019 - $53 (wood) OR  clear block -149016 - $39.  We will also use the framelits, Stitched Seasons, 149013 - $33.  HOWEVER, if you purchase the bundle, Wood-mount • 149893 $77.25 | Clear-mount • 149894 $64.75 you save 10%. AND you earn a $5 Bonus Days coupon to spend next month!

You know that phrase, "Wait, there's more!"  Well, there is.  We've also brought in a new set of ten watercolor pencils, 149014 - $12.50.

This card is using Thick Whisper White cardstock, Pear Pizzazz (we'll be using Basic Black), and Flirty Flamingo.

I used the Quilt Top Embossing Folder, Blended Seasons Stamp set, Stitched Seasons Framelits, and Pear Pizzazz marker for the leaves.

Come back tomorrow to see the card we'll be using the reverse of this card!
