Easy Peasy Halloween Treat Packages

So yesterday I posted one Halloween Treat packet using the Envelope Punch Board.  Today's treat holder is just folding and embellishing!  How easy is that?

Take a 6 X 6 piece of Designer Series paper.  Fold in half forming a triangle.  Place your triangle so you can measure down from the point 2-1/2 inches to fold the left side in.  Then do the same for the right side.  I used Fast Fuse to secure both ends down.  I then folded down the front flap and secured with Fast Fuse. I created a cute little tag to cover any imperfections in my folds.  Cute, huh?

Have you seen the latest weekly deals? Here are some samples of what I've used some of our product for:

Envelope Punch Board

And yesterday's post, the Halloween Treats?  I used the Envelope Punch Board for those as well!

Now this next picture, shows a variety of punches/framelits I used.  I don't have a picture of what I really wanted to show you!  I took these large earrings and using the smallest die in the Floral Framelits and cut them down.  They are adorable.  I'll try to post a picture of the new size soon!

Halloween Treats

Here is a project I started on a week or so ago and couldn't get back to finish. Have you ever started a project, set it aside and start something else?  Well, I have about five different projects going on right now!

These are cute Halloween Treat holders.  The Dracula and Witch are in the new stamp set, Haunt Ya Later, in the Holiday Catalog.  I used my Blendabilities to color and blend in their various colors.  Even though the blendabilities are no longer available, you can get this look using your blender pens and ink pads.  Or by using your aqua painters.  I then fussy cut each one and adhered using dimensionals.

I used retired designer series paper and stamped the bats on the back flap. I will be adding two pieces of chocolate to each holder. I love how these turned out!

Leave me a comment on what you like about these treat holders.

Happy crafting,

Lunar Eclipse

Did you get to see the lunar eclipse last night?  If not, here is the last photo I took before leaving for home.  The moon is in the upper left quandrant of the picture.  Very faint.

Before going to the Landing, I finished this cute little project. I was thinking along the lines of, "Wouldn't this be a cute combo packaged gift for someone?"

I used Mossy Meadow cardstock and Merry Moments designer series paper.  I cut the Joy out of Silver Foil paper and added Basic Jewels to both.  The "notes" is from a past Paper Pumpkin kit.

What do you think?  Be sure to leave me a comment!

Scrapbooking Class Pictures

On Wednesday, we met at the Arrowhead Building Supply in Hollister, MO, and had fun going through pictures, trying to decide what we were going to put in our books.  Now, if you follow my blog, you've seen my So You scrapbook.

Let me tell you, these two ladies had their act together more than they thought they did.  I scheduled four hours for class and we were out of there in three -- clean up and all!

Here's my set up -- I can't believe I didn't get a picture of the stamp table -- but that's okay. Next are some photos I took of those working on their projects.

I still have three more kits left, so if you'd like to schedule a time to come make your "So You" scrapbook, let me know!

Green Glittered Ornament

Today, I'm playing with the Delicate Ornament Thinlit Dies.

This ornament is four-sided and is glued together using the Tombow Multipurpose Glue.  The die set comes with the little hanger that I cut out of the Gold Foil Paper and attached to each ornament before gluing together.  Once dried, I added the Gold Cording Trim.  I just love making ornaments.  I hope you enjoy today's share.

Cute 3 X 5 Notepad

Today I'm at the Arrowhead Building Supply in Hollister, MO.  We're scrapbooking using the retired "So You" Scrapbook Kit from Stampin' Up!  Join us from 10 to 2 if you'd like to see what we're making.  If there are enough kits, you may be able to make one, too!

Today's share is something I'm working on for a craft fair I'll be attending in October.  Mark your calendars for October 24th, Cape Fair Community Center, Cape Fair, MO, from 10 am to 4 pm.  It's only one day, so come early!

I found a video on You Tube, by Crafty Caroline.  She demonstrated how to make the notepad holder I posted last week -- the black and white one.

Well, today, I'm making these cute 3 X 5 Notepads.  I am using retired cardstock, Primrose Petals, and designer series papers. The word, notes, is from a past Paper Pumpkin kit. Using the same template, I made some adjustments for the smaller notepads and I really like how it turned out.  I don't have the magnets that Caroline used, so I'm trying to repurpose magnets I had laying around that I wasn't using for anything else.

Be sure to let me know if this is a craft that you would like to see in a Christmas Gift class!

Next Class - So You Scrapbooking

Well vacation is over and now I'm ready to start scrapbooking!  My first scrapbooking class is being held this Wednesday, September 23rd, from 10 am to 2 pm.  I've moved the location to the local Arrowhead Building Supply store here in Hollister.  We will be upstairs in their conference room and will have plenty of room to spread out!

If you plan on attending, please be sure to bring your pictures, paper cutter, and any bling that you might want to have on hand.  Oh, and some scissors and adhesive.

Here's the cover that we'll be creating for our album.

Remember, the kit comes with the binder and all the window sheets, sleeves, and other embellishments.

Let's get together and have some crafting fun!

Recycled Paper Towel Roll Scrapbook

By now, you're like, "huh?"  Yes, I love making these little scrapbooks. And they make really cute brag books, too!

Depending on what size you make, depends on how many rolls you need.

I took two paper towel rolls and cut them down to 4-1/2 inches. This gives me four "sleeves."

I decorated these with some retired designer series paper, added card stock for each sleeve.  The closure is a belly band.

If you would like to attend a class to learn how to make these, let me know. I'll be adding this class to my schedule soon!

Purse Style Christmas Gifts

I'm getting ready for another craft fair!  This one is at the Cape Fair Community Center, Cape Fair, Missouri. It is one day only, on Saturday, October 24th, from 10 - 4. These are a couple of items I will have for sale.

These purses are made from a 6 x 6 square piece of  retired designer series paper. I have instructions so if you would like to receive those, please send me an email.

I don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but I hid the back of the brads by slipping the ribbon handle through the trim of the purse and then using sticky tape to secure the backside of the trim to the inside of the purse. These purses still need their Velcro closures and I will also add some tags for putting the person's  name. I will also add Merry Christmas or another image to the front.

Happy crafting,

Desiree'

So You Scrapbook Class

I've scheduled a new So You Scrapbook class for September 23rd, from 10-2 pm.  It may not take you that long, but I wanted to allow enough time so you don't feel rushed.

These are retired Stampin' Up! kits and I only have three kits left!  If you're interested, please be sure to contact me to let me know you are planning to come.

Here are some pictures I posted earlier to showcase this kit. I hope you enjoy seeing my granddaughter, Bailey, when she was first born!

Hand Made Magnetic Closure Notepad

Today I'm sharing a handmade notepad I was inspired by Crafty Caroline.  I wanted something quick I could carry in my purse and this works!

First I cut my printer paper down to the size I wanted. I then put tombow multipurpose glue along the top edge and set aside to dry.  I then cut and scored my card stock according to Caroline's video. I added some DSP, designer series paper.  I used some old magnets I had laying around and they work ok.  They don't give me the snug snap when my closure is down, but it does stay closed. I also used a past Paper Pumpkin stamp for my words.

I added a piece of coordinating paper across the back, top, and front of my paper stack.

Here is a link to her video. http://youtu.be/Wb5qbtmFYaI
Hopefully the link works.  Don't give up before she starts because she does share a ribbon organization tip first.

I'm thinking of making some of these for my upcoming craft fair in October. Would you buy one of these?

Happy crafting,

Desiree'

More Reverse Image Playing

Today's share is a card I made using the reverse cutouts from both the Merry and the snow flake. I also changed up the colors, using Smokey Slate for the base and background.

Be sure to leave me a comment and pictures of your repurpose crafting!

Happy Grandparents Day

Today I'm sharing pictures of my two grandsons here in Florida.  Although I wasn't here when each of them were born, they are both very special.  First is Carter and the second one is Camden.

Next is our granddaughter, Bailey.  This picture was taken this summer.

These next two pictures are our two other grandsons, Caleb and Anthony, big brothers to Bailey.

I don't have pictures of our granddaughter, Darla, or our grandson, Jarret, on my phone, but they are loved, too!

Using My Scraps

Today's card is crafted using designer series papers from the Merry Moments 12 X 12 paper.  We also have four of the patterns from this set in a paper stack that measures 6 X 6.

I cut the word "Joy" using the Wonderful Wreath Framelits on silver foil paper.  I was going to use the JOY but decided I liked the cutout better with this paper.

Be sure to let me know what you think.

Happy crafting,

Desiree'

Let us Never Forget

Today's post has nothing to do with crafting, but I wanted to take a moment and ask everyone to remember this day.  Our freedom is not free.

I'm leaving on a jet plane

Yes, it's true!  I'm going on vacation with my husband, to Orlando, Florida, to visit our new grandson, Camden.  Today we are taking our dachshunds in to the boarding kennel, then finish packing, and we fly out early tomorrow morning.

Yes, our girls do stack up like that.  This is all four of them on the arm of the couch.  Cocoa is on the bottom and she is 13 in November.  Next is Penni, our piebald, then Nellie, our Blue dachsie, and lastly, all tucked in on top is M&M.

Camden will be 2 months old on the 13th of September. We can't wait to hold this little guy.

While on vacation, I hope to get in some posts on cards I've created using scraps from various projects.  I also have October's card class designed and cannot wait to share with you!

Happy crafting!
