Sweet Treat Pouches

Do you love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups?  Well, they have a chocolate heart filled with Peanut Butter.  Now this is one candy that I don't want hanging around.  To help this bag of chocolates go, I made these cute Sweet Treat Pouches and using some old Paper Pumpkin Stamps, added cute tags.

I will be doing a Sweet Treat Class at the Branson Senior Center on February 7th starting at Noon.  Come on out and make your Sweet Treat!

Lady Bug Updated

Since it took quite a long time to use my pencil eraser to dot up the Ladybug, I thought I'd show you an updated version using a Stampin' Up! sponge dauber.  This went much quicker to stamp and I also changed out using wire for the antennae.  I used vellum, folded in half to give it strength.  I think this came out super cute.

I'm also attaching photos of some of my Valentine/Love Nugget Trays that I put out for Valentines.  I stamped my images from past Paper Pumpkin kits and then used a variety of punches to create the tags.

Sweet Little Ladybug

Today's share was inspired by my sister, Marilyn.  She is always on the lookout for ideas for my crafting.  This was something she spotted in a Current magazine and I told her, "Oh, I can make that with my Curvy Keepsake die!"

So, with the help of a few tools, here's what I came up with.

For the ears, I mounted two hearts on wire -- for the rest of these, I plan on using window sheets cut into strips.  For the head, I used the smaller balloon from our Balloon Bouquet punch, 140609, located on page 187 of our Annual catalog.  I punched two of these so I can place the wire/window sheet between the two heads.

I used google eyes and the white chalk maker to create the mouth.  For the black circles, I am going to try using a dauber next time as for this project I used the eraser found on your pencil.  But this took quite a long time to stamp all four sides with the small eraser!

I have many customers that stop and look at my critters and ask, "What do you put inside?"  I always tell them jewelry is a nice touch -- especially an engagement ring or diamond earrings if you wanted to surprise your loved one.  Me?  I put Hershey Kisses inside these for Valentine's Day.

This will be one of the "critters" you can choose to make in my two- or four-item gift class.

I hope you enjoy today's share and will stop in to see me soon at Desiree's Craftroom located inside the Branson Mill Craft Village.

More Valentine Treat Bags

Today's share are some quick bags I made using the January 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I wanted to get some different ideas out to you and these would be super cute for a child's class Valentine party.

So here are some close ups of these cute bags.  Some of these have fine gold thread around them, others are popped up on dimensionals, and lastly some are just put on with glue dots.

If you haven't already signed up for Paper Pumpkin, here's their blog share for today about this kit.  And here is the link to sign up today so you can start your Paper Pumpkin Subscription. And remember, during Sale-A-Bration, you can qualify for FREE product by purchasing 3-, 6- or 12-month subscriptions.

Stop in today and check out these cute bags in person.  You may even see me making more of these today while I'm at the store.

Valentine Special

Before I get to the Valentine Special, I want to remind everyone that today's class starts at 12:30 pm at Desiree's Craftroom, located inside the Branson Mill Craft Village.  We will be making two spinner cards and two waterfall cards.  Tutorials will be emailed after the class.

Here are some more Valentine projects on display at the Mill.  I've used past Paper Pumpkin kits to make the Hershey Nugget trays and they are all refillable!  The Hot Cocoa Pouch is made from retired Designer Series Papers and ribbon.  Simply pull up the ribbon and the Hot Cocoa comes out!

Now for my Valentine special -- If you would like to get a special gift for your significant other, I have a variety of Precious Moments on display.  I'm selling my collection and if you buy three figurines, I'll give you 25% off your purchase! Here are some of the Valentine figurines I have on display.

I've blotted out the prices, but you can email me if you're not local to the Branson Area and are interested in any of these.  I have over 400 figurines, so if you're wanting a special one that has been retired, contact me.  I may have it!

And lastly, here is an alternate spinner card I made for the class.

Saturday Special Folds Class

This Saturday, I will be holding another Special Fold class in case you missed the last two classes I held.  I've been busy getting things ready for Valentine's Day so haven't been as diligent about posting.  Since I moved into my new space, and have such beautiful display cabinets, I have decided to put my Precious Moments collection up for sale.  I have over 400 figurines, dolls and ornaments.  If you have any interest in a particular one, just give me a call or email me.  I've only been able to get so many out each day, so this may take a while!

Yes, I'd rather be crafting, so if you have any interest in learning new folds, come on out Saturday afternoon at 12:30 for this fun class.  I have two tutorials written so you will get these once you take the class.

I posted a video earlier with the Waterfall card on my Facebook page.  I will post it here as well.

Here is the Heart Spinner card which I changed out from the Baseball card.  I'm also providing photos of the other Waterfall card we made as well.

Both cards are a lot of fun and the look of surprise on the recipient's face is well worth the effort.  I will continue to hold this class throughout the month of January so if Saturday's don't work for you, just let me know when is good!

Missing in Action!

Yes, I've been missing from my blog!  I have been so busy with inventorying my stock for the store that I have been beat by the end of the day.  I promise to try to do better.  As some of you know, this is Branson's slow time, so this is the time when we make changes to our store front, inventory stock, and add a variety of new things.

Today, I'm sharing a video from our home office, Stampin' Up! where Andrea shows you how to manipulate the Photopolymer stamps to get the images you want.  I've demonstrated this in a few classes, so for some of you, this may be a refresher.

What's exciting about the Any Occasion stamp set is this is a Sale-A-Bration stamp set that is so versatile that you WILL use it often.  To qualify for this stamp set, you need to place a $50 order from the Annual catalog or the Occasions catalog.  If you don't already have your catalog, contact me!  I also have a link to each catalog just to the left of this post.  You can download a copy until you receive your hard copy.

When placing an order, please use Hostess Code:  2DSHNUBB.  This code goes in the lower left corner of your Shopping Bag.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Impromptu Classes

Well, I did it again!  I held a class yesterday and forgot to take pictures!  This was a Technique class where we made two Waterfall Cards and two Spinner Cards.

I will be having this class again on February 4th at 12:30.  If you would like to schedule a time to come in sooner than this, please contact me.  Supplies are already cut and ready to go.  I also have an Airplane Spinner card ready to go (until I sell the stamp set!) and a few other cards.

Here are two of the four cards I designed for this class.  We changed out the Baseball for a Heart for Valentine's Day.

My Technique/Fancy Fold classes are $29.99.  Remember, you also get the tutorials emailed to you when you provide me your email address!

Happy Crafting,

Desiree'

PS.  Sandy - send me an email so I can send you the tutorials on these two

Masculine Corner Book Marks

I decided to play at home with some retired Designer Series Papers that I had pieces of laying around. I really think these will be good for a small Father's Day gift or a "Just Because" gift to let that certain someone know you're thinking of them.

I have papers cut and ready for you to come in and make these if you want to make one yourself.  And remember, when you take a class with me, you get the tutorial that goes with that project after class.  I love to see what you make after you take a class and go home to recreate.  Please share your pictures!

Saturday's Class

Saturday's class has been postponed due to bad weather!  So instead, I worked on Valentine treat bags that I found in an old Paper Pumpkin kit.  I made up 10 of these and still have lots left over.  I will make more as time permits.

I'm going to continue to wrap my nuggets in designer papers and then place in the bags.  I am going to use my gold designer series papers (I'll have to dig through my stash!) to make more once my kit runs out.

I love how these turned out.  For today, I'll be stocking my cabinets, but if you would like to stop in for a class, I have the following items ready to go:

Sweet Treat Pouches
Envelope Punch Board Pouches
Stand Up Post It Notes
Corner Book Marks
3-Dimensional Stars
Starbursts (both Christmas and non-holiday papers)
Various Critter Boxes

If you do stop in to craft, we'll need to be done by 3 pm as I need to leave for a doctor's appointment.  Otherwise, we can schedule another date!

October, November and December Calendars

Just a reminder that I'm having the Waterfall and Spinner Card class today, starting at 12:30 at Desiree's Craftroom, located inside the Branson Mill Craft Village.

Today's share are the last three calendars for 2017.  For October, I tried to keep some of the spookiness out this year.  So we have pumpkins and Happy Halloween.  If you don't celebrate Halloween, you can always cut off the sentiment since it is popped up on dimensionals!

For November, I used this retired stamp.  Stampin' Up! sold it in a set as well as a single stamp.  I do have two of these, and love the saying.

For December, I wanted a snowy look, so I used my white chalk pen and added snow to the trees.  I used the trees from the White Christmas stamp set that was retired in May of this year.

Come back on Monday to see photos of our class today!

July, August, September Calendars

I need to hurry and get all these posted!  I thought I had shared all the calendars with you, but after double-checking, I see I did NOT.

Today I'm sharing July, August and September.  July, in honor of America's birthday, I always use red, white and blue colors.  I know this is a retired stamp, and yes, you can see my blooper, but I LOVE this stamp.

For August, I chose Kindness because of our kids and grandkids going to school.  It's tough changing schools, being the new kid,  and such, so reminding us to use kindness is what inspired this calendar.

For September, I wanted to pull in gratitude and blessings.  In going through some of my old stamps, I thought, gee, I haven't used my wheels in a looooong time!  I'm thinking of changing them out to stamps, but haven't done that yet.  This is a retired wheel from Stampin' Up! and I love the reminder on it.

Come back tomorrow for the last three calendars for 2017.  If you would like to come in and make your own calendar, I still have some cut and ready to be stamped.  Otherwise, I also have three left in my store for sale!

Desiree'

New Catalogs On Line

Yesterday, I changed out the catalogs here on my blog.  If you click on the catalogs, they will open in a PDF format. You can download and save them until you get a hard copy.  I did mail some catalogs to those of you who placed orders with me before December (closing date for ordering them). If you would like a set of the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalog, please contact me!

Today, I'm sharing pictures from  a class where two sisters walked in and wanted a card class.  They have scrapbooked in the past and wanted to do cards.  I showed them what I had cut and ready to go.  I stayed away from the fancier cards since they were beginners.  I pulled two Christmas card kits and turned them into Birthday cards.  I then pulled an old Paper Pumpkin kit and we made two different cards with the kit.

This not only gave me the opportunity to talk about Paper Pumpkin, but it also enabled me to show them a little envelope dress-up!  I love having these kits on hand -- especially for our beginner stampers.

If you want to stop in and make cards, scrapbooks, or other crafts, just call and schedule a class or send me an email.

Fancy Fold Card Class

I have a Fancy Fold Card Class scheduled for this Saturday, January 7th, from 12:30 to 3:30.  We will be making two Waterfall cards and two Spinner cards.

The two Waterfall cards are designed to show you how they go both on the side and from top to bottom. The two spinner cards are simple so we can get the process down so you can go home and make more of these on your own.  I'm in the process of writing tutorials on how to make these two Fancy Fold cards.

I hope you will join us on Saturday to make these two folds.

May and June Calendars

Today, I'm sharing my May and June Calendars.  May's calendar was inspired by Mother's Day, but not everyone's Mom is with us.  So instead, I've used some of my favorite colors and my oldest sister, Linda's birthday, for inspiration.

June's calendar was inspired by my sister, Marilyn.  Her birthday is in June and she constantly reminds me about the little things.  We held a Bates Family Reunion here in Branson (before I moved here) and we visited the Cakes and Creams ice cream shop and this soda glass reminds me of the wonderful time we had together.

March and April Calendars

H A P P Y   N E W   Y E A R!!

Today's share are March and April's calendars.  For March, I used one of my favorite current stamp sets, Sprinkles of Life. It was a lot of stamping, but oh, it looks so "Springy."

For April, I used the Host Stamp Set, Gift of Love and the retired stamp set Easter Blossoms.  I love the larger, elegant look for the "Happy Easter."

Come back tomorrow for May and June calendars.
