Sweet Sunflowers Envelope Pieces

Sweet Sunflowers Envelope Pieces

These are two cards I made using the envelope flaps from the Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin kit.  I mounted them on a piece of cardstock so they wouldn't be so flimsy.  I popped the Sunflower and the sentiment with dimensionals.

The second card, I stamped the sunflower on Basic White cardstock.  I then stamped the centers in soft suede.  I mounted the envelope paper onto Blackberry Bliss cardstock and popped up on dimensionals.

I hope you enjoy today's card share.  Have a safe and enjoyable weekend!

Sweet Sunflower - Brightening My Day

Sweet Sunflower - Brightening My Day

Today's share is made with some leftover pieces.

I used Blackberry Bliss for a card base and glued down the Honeycomb background.  I stamped the sunflower on a card front that I cut in half to make two cards.  I stamped the sentiment on basic white cardstock and added to a soft suede strip of paper.  Both the flower piece and the sentiment are popped up on dimensionals.

I'll be back tomorrow with a couple of other cards to share!

Sweet Sunflowers Box Card

Sweet Sunflowers Box Card

Today's card is made using some of the envelope panels from the Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin kit.  I stamped my own sunflowers and fussy cut them out.  This is a special card I made for my sister, Marilyn.  Hopefully she has received by the time for this posting.  This folds flat for easy mailing.

I have a couple of more cards I'll post tomorrow from this kit.  I've been kind of busy decluttering my house, running my husband to doctor appointments and such.  Not much stamping this past week.

I'll try to get some cards made to post for you next week!

Sweet Sunflowers Thinking of You Alternatives

Sweet Sunflowers Thinking of You Alternatives

These are more cards I made from the Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin Kit using the phrase, "Thinking of You," from the Very Best Occasions (159871) Stamp Set and Expressions of Friendship which is a Host stamp set.  I love the mix of papers, colors, and the ability of stretching this kit to make so many cards.

Can you spot which card was made using the envelope?

I've just about exhausted my supplies with this kit as of this writing.  I'll be posting the cards I made last week and hopefully I can then start on some new product cards!

Sweet Sunflowers Thank You Alternatives

Sweet Sunflowers Thank You Alternatives

Today's share are some Thank You alternative cards I made using the Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin Kit.  Yes, I am still making cards with this kit, so you will see more of each phrase included in the kit with different layouts!  When I ran out of the sentiment pieces, I grabbed the envelope pieces and stamped and punched out.  NOTE:  Put another piece of cardstock under it so it doesn't tear.

Next week I'll be back with more alternatives of Thinking of You cards which are great for any occasion, including sympathy, birthday, graduation, etc.  Enjoy your weekend and if you're crafting, share your cards!

Sweet Sunflowers - One of a Kind

Sweet Sunflowers - One of a Kind

These are some alternatives of the Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin kit using the sentiment, "For a One of a Kind Friend."  This sentiment is included in the kit.  I used different punches and fussy cut some of the envelopes and stamped sunflowers to make more cards out of this kit.

I had so much fun making these cards.  Now to get them ready to mail out to my special friends!  After all, what good is a card if you don't use them.

Sweet Sunflowers Friend You Wish For

Sweet Sunflowers Friend You Wish For

Today's cards are some of the Friend alternatives from the Sweet Sunflowers kit. First up is the three panel card.  I used alternative colors to bring out the papers.  I also used different punches for my layering.

Do you have a favorite designer series paper that you just cannot get enough of?  Try cutting it in a variety of ways to stretch out how many cards you can make with it.  Share your love of the paper with friends and family by sending them a handmade card!

Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

As of this writing, I'm still working on the Sweet Sunflowers  Paper Pumpkin kit.  There are so many different cards to share with you!  First up, are random phrases that I stamped on the fronts.  The first three cards have sentiments from the stamp set included in the kit.  I cut all the card bases to 5-1/4 X 4.  I also cut the envelopes before starting my stamping.  I stamped my sunflowers (stamp included in kit) and fussy cut them out for additional cards.

The last card sentiment is from the Very Best Occasions (159871) stamp set.  I stamped on one of the envelopes to get the most out of this kit. This stamp set is a bundle as well with a corner punch.

I hope you enjoy the variety of colors and layouts.

Happy Labor Day

I hope everyone enjoys their Labor Day celebrations.

Did you know Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers?  It also is for celebrating the end of summer.

Yesterday, I was busy embossing cardstock.  First is the variety of colors I hope to use from the retired Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder.

These next batch of colors are from the Aspen Dies (there are four different colors in the envelope.  I couldn't decide how I was going to use them so wanted to save the pieces!).  The others are embossed with the Fern 3D (158804) and the Leaf Fall 3D (159847) folders.  These really embossed nicely even without spritzing with water!

If you haven't seen these up close before, zoom in on the pictures.  They are beautiful.

Come back tomorrow for some Sweet Sunflower Paper Pumpkin alternatives.

Pick of the Crop Fancy Folds

Today's share are two different folds.  The first card is using the card base included in the Pick of the Crop Paper Pumpkin kit.

First up is the Z-fold turned sideways, as promised.  I really like making these "display" cards as so many people like to have them out on their mantles.

To make this card, I used the supplied card base and scored at 2-3/4".  I then added the different pieces of cheese, fruit, and bread to the card.

Next up is a pop up card that I love how it turned out.  Remember that borrowed embossing folder?  Well soon it will be going back to its owner, so I've been using it as much as I can.  I also plan on embossing a lot of card fronts before returning it!

I really had to play with this one to make sure both baskets of fruit popped up.  I hope you enjoyed this week's inspiration!

Pick of the Crop Gift Bag

This is a little bag that was included in the Pick of the Crop Paper Pumpkin Kit.  At first I wasn't going to do anything with it, but then I saw some alternatives and guidelines for stamping on the bag.  One thing I love, is being able to see others' creations on Facebook!

I did use different colors than what were included in the kit, but I think this will be a cute gift bag with four cards inside to give away.

Leave a message so I know you saw this post and will reveal the winner on Monday!

Pick of the Crop, Thinking of You

Today's share are the Thinking of You cards I made with the Pick of the Crop Paper Pumpkin kit.  I really like the popped up awning!  What do you think?

This second card is a Gate Fold card.  I used a Basic White base and cut the included card front to the base.  Adding the sentiment on top of the vellum (included in the kit), makes the sentiment pop.

As I said earlier, I do like to try to use each of the sentiment stamps in each kit.  The "Hello" sentiment didn't stamp well (should have used my stamparatus!) so I used my blender pen and ink pad to add a lighter shade of color.  Again, I used up bits and pieces of the kit and placed on a card base that I had on my table.

Come back tomorrow to see another Z-fold card turned sideways.

Birthday/Love Pick of the Crop Alternatives

Today's Birthday card is similar to yesterday's Pick of the Crop card.  I still popped up the awning but added the Happy Birthday sentiment and placed two Rustic Metallic adhesive-backed dots (159082) from the new annual catalog.

The kit has a selection of sentiments to stamp with so I try to use each one.  Here are the two using LOVE YOU a whole bunch.

Lastly, this card uses the fruit, bread and cheese pieces on a card base from another kit.  I added the "sweetest" sentiment (from the Pick of the Crop kit).

Get out your bits and pieces and see what you can do!

Pick of the Crop Alternative Cards

It's Monday and I've been working on another Paper Pumpkin kit.  My husband is still getting around by scooter and I don't leave him very often to go down to craft in my craftroom.  What better way to spend afternoons, but to get caught up on my kits.

Today's share is from the Pick of the Crop kit.  It's available to purchase as a refill for current Paper Pumpkin Subscribers.  The stamps and ink are NOT included in a refill kit.

First up is an alternative to raise the awning.  I cut the awning from the cart and scored about an eighth of an inch and then popped the awning up with dimensionals.

The next two cards look the same, but aren't.  Can you spot the difference?

One as the fruit baskets popped up on dimensionals. The other card just has the single strawberry/blueberry popped up.

The last card for today is one I reversed from the kit.  I created a Z-fold and popped the bread and cheese off the one side.  I then added the fruit and sentiment to the inside.

Come back tomorrow to see more alternatives to this kit!

Sentimental Rose Thank You

These are the last of the variations of using the Sentimental Rose Kit from Stampin' Up!  I had so much fun making the variety of folds, colors, and layouts.  I hope you will give them a try.

This first card is made by adding a 3 X 5 card from the kit and stamping the rose and leaves.  I scored it at 3" and glued it under the card base (note card).  I then added the notecard to a piece of cardstock, 5-1/2 X 4-1/4.

These next three cards are using the newsprint notecard that I cut to use as designer series papers.  I put all the pieces onto a Basic White card stock base.

Enjoy your weekend and I'll be back next week with more inspiration using the Pick of the Crop kit.
