Beautiful You

Today’s share is using Beautiful You, the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits, and the shaving cream technique.  The card base is Daffodil Delight with a black layer. This is a great “Pick Me Up” card.

Artfully Aware

Here is another card I made using the shaving cream technique.  For this card, I used four different stamp sets.  Artfully Aware for the girls image, Beauty Abounds for the butterfly images, Part of My Story for the words, and the January Paper Pumpkin Kit, Be My Valentine.

For this card, I used Melon Mambo for the card base and Highland Heather for the layer. This is a card I’ll be sending off to my granddaughter.

If you haven’t seen these stamp sets, stop in to see me at the Branson Mill Craft Village. I’d be happy to share with you!

Artfully Aware

Today’s share is a card I made to use up some of the cards we made playing with the Shaving Cream technique.

I used Artfully Aware and Beauty Abounds for this card.  I mounted a piece of Mossy Meadow on the Flirty Flamingo card base.

Come back tomorrow for some more cards I made to use up the shaving cream pieces.

Three Card Class

I have a request for a three-card class on Sunday, February 3rd, from 2-4 pm.  This class will be held at the Branson Mill Craft Village!  Please let me know if you plan on attending.  We will be selecting cards from kits I already have made up but will be using new stamps!

Here are a few of the kits that I have available to select from:

I also have quite a few of the Peek-A-Boo Technique kits left, but I would prefer to hold this class separate from our three card class on the 3rd.

Seriously Amazing

Two weeks ago for card class, we used the Seriously Amazing Paper Pumpkin kit.  I had leftovers, so when Julie came to play, she helped me assemble the rest of the cards.  Since we had more stamp options and cardstock options, we came up with different ideas.

Watch the video and see what you think!

Oh, and the oopsie in the video?

I simply cut the dimensionals and cleaned up any dimensional residue off the backside and reapplied!

And lastly, here are the two Paper Pumpkin stamp sets we used:

Class Tonight!

Don't forget we have class tonight at the Branson Senior Center from 6-8 PM.  We'll be doing two different shaving cream techniques - so it will be a little messy!  Hope to see you there!

Here are the two cards we'll be making:

Top card is using the frosted block technique

Bottom card, we'll be using the paper plate swirl technique.

Birthday Cards

Do you ever wonder what I do with all the class supplies?  Well, today's share is one of our classes that I held and decided it was time to put these together!

If you look closely, you will see that I used different embossing folders as well as stamped my Happy Birthday in black and highlighted with Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay markers.

When you come play with me at the Branson Mill Craft Village, we have lots more choices available to us!  Be sure to take some time to play each day!

Mobiles, Anyone?

I've been asked by one of my customers if I ever made a heart mobile.  Well here is one that I've started, but need a helper to finish it.  Hopefully by the time this posts, I'll have an updated video for you!

This is made with an older Paper Pumpkin kit, retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers and my Hearts framelits.  It was fun planning out and putting together.  Now to put the finishing touches on it.

UPDATE:  Here's a photo I tried to take as well.

Enjoy the video!

Best Catch

Julie's coming for another play date, so I'd better get this one posted!  This is the second card we made from her visit last Thursday.

She loves Fly Fishing and this new set, Best Catch, was perfect for her.  We played with colors and sponging to create this card.  We also used the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits for our frame.

If you would like to learn how to do this technique, come in and play with me!  I'm located inside the Branson Mill Craft Village and am there most days.  I do ask that you set up a crafting time so I have all the supplies cut and ready for us to play!

A Little Play Time

Julie stopped in last Thursday and we were able to play a little with our new Occasions and Sale A Bration goodies!

Julie selected the Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick Foil papers from Sale A bration and we made this gorgeous card using the Butterfly Beauty Thinlet Dies.

I struggled with whether to put words on this or let the beauty speak for itself.  What do you think?

Clip On Post It Notes

While I was cleaning up my totes, I discovered some unfinished projects.  Today's share are some clip on Post It Notes.

I used my 4 X 4 coaster board and covered this with some retired Designer Series Papers (DSP).  I used Tombow Liquid Glue as this allows me to shift the paper to get it aligned.

I then took some retired Stampin' Up! washi tape and covered the binder clips I had on hand.  Add a little ribbon and you're done! Then I simply click the Post It notes on the coaster board.  Super easy and such a nice gift for any occasion!

This is also a great way to use up some of the smaller pieces of your DSP!

Beauty Abound - Die Cut Monoprint

Today's share is a technique Jennifer M. shared.  I would love to teach this in a class if there is any interest.  The Die Cut Monoprint is a wonderful way to make two cards out of one process.  I used the new bundle, Beauty Abound for these cards.

And here are closeups of the two.

I hope you will let me know if this is something you would like to learn how to do!

Frosted Block Technique Class

Here is one of the cards we'll be making at our Jan 22nd Frosted Block Technique class.  Yes, this is a little messy, but really pretty.  We're using the new stamp set, Fable Friends, and the new rectangle stitched framelits.

This card is for the simple stamper.  If you want more color, pull out your Stampin' Write markers or your Blends alcohol markers and color in the ducks!

More Shaving Cream Fun

This is another card I created using the Frosted Block technique.  You will want to do as many "fronts" as you can so you can clean up and create once they are dry!

I used Lovely Lattice, another stamp set available FREE with Sale-A-Bration.

What is Sale-A-Bration?  Once a year, Stampin' Up! offers FREE product for every $50 you spend.  If you purchase $200, then you get either 4 Level 1 items or 2 Level 2 items, or 2 Level 1 items and 1 Level 2 item.  There are lots of choices!  Contact me today with any questions.

Shaving Cream Fun!

One of my fellow demonstrators, Lynda W., showed our Iowa Inkers group this technique.  She calls it the Frosted Block Technique.

I will be doing this technique on Tuesday, January 22nd, at the Branson Community Center starting at 6 pm.  I do ask if you attend, please bring your own "D" block -- it's marked on the side of your block.  This will save on waiting for the next person to finish their smooching!

I played with this technique and wanted to share some of my work.  Here are two Lasting Lily cards I made using this technique.  The stamp set, Lasting Lily, is a set you can earn FREE with Sale-A-Bration.

I took these samples to class with me on Tuesday night, so if you like what you see -- let me know!

Soft Sayings Note Cards

How many of you use little 3X3 note cards?

I finished up these four cards using the pieces in the kit, Soft Sayings.  This kit is available in our Annual Catalog.  You can see some of the cards I made from this kit here.  Also, click down to May of 2018 and go through the many posts I wrote about this kit!  It's a great stamp set and everything is included!

I'm trying to better organize so in doing this, I'm finishing up started projects and then filing leftovers away.

Of course, these needed some cute packaging, right?  So I pulled a mini pizza box, also in the annual catalog, and decorated it with coordinating cardstock and used a piece of card base that was leftover in the kit.  I then stamped and embellished the front.

Wouldn't this be a great gift to receive?

Farewell Card

Today's share is a card I made for the former manager of the Branson Mill Craft Village.  She left us just before Christmas and has arrived at her destination -- California!

This had to be a larger card for everyone to sign, so this is a 8-1/2 X 11, scored at 5-1/2.  I placed a piece of Whisper white cardstock measuring 5-1/4 X 8-1/4 on each inside panel.  I then added a second full sheet just scored in half to add a second set of pages.

For the front, I used the En Route Designer Series Papers and mapped a route to the west.  I added the car from the set, En Route, to show stops along the way.  The top sentiment is from One Wild Ride and the other two sentiments are from En Route.

High Tide Tri-Fold

This is the third card we'll be making in class Tuesday night.  I will actually have this class available the whole month of January, so if you miss the class Tuesday night, please contact me so we can set a date for your class!

This card is a CASE (copy and share everything) from my upline, Susie Wood.  I love the colors in this card and the stamp set!  Both the stamp set and the Designer Series Papers are available in our annual catalog.

Hello!

Today's share is a card we're making Tuesday night using an old Paper Pumpkin kit I had laying around.  I'm trying to use up the bits and pieces of partial kits and this is a good way to use them!

I cut down the cards provided in this kit so I would have enough for class.  We're mounting them a card base that is 5-1/2 X 4-1/4.  This is a simple card that you can dress up using sequins, pearls, or even more stamping!

New Catalog -- It's Sale-A-Bration Time!

Do you like getting FREE products -- especially those that you LOVE and can PICK yourself?

Well, it's that time of year with Stampin' Up! and you can do just that!  For every $50 you spend, you get something FREE out of our Sale-A-Bration catalog!  I've linked both the new Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration catalogs in case you want to download them.  Just click on the images on the left side of my blog!

Those of you who have purchased product through me will receive your new catalogs in class.  Be sure to ask me so I don't forget to give them out!

Today's share is a set that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it.  His Grace.  This is one of the cards we'll be making in our card class this Tuesday night, January 8th, at 6 pm at the Branson Community Center.  Be sure to RSVP to let me know you are coming so I have enough supplies cut!

Another new change with our stamps are they are now CLING stamps in lieu of clear block stamps.  The only difference is the application of the label and the stickiness of the label.  I will be demonstrating this in class Tuesday night!  Don't worry, if you miss class, I will demo this for the next few classes to make sure everyone knows how to apply their labels.
