New Year's Eve

Today I want to remind you to stay safe.  New Year's Eve is a fun time but can be an ugly time if you aren't responsible.  If you drink, have a designated driver.  If you party, party safely!

Now for October's Calendar -  October is my granddaughter, Bailey, and my grandson, Carter's birth month.  They are both very special to me and I also love Halloween!

For October, I chose to stamp the spider from "Googly Ghouls" stamp set on the calendar.  Again, I inked it up and stamped off before stamping on my calendar.  I then stamped the Mummy all over the Pumpkin Pie cardstock. Finally, I added the bat on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and mounted him on the Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  I love how this calendar turned out, don't you?

September's Calendar

September is my daughter, Michelle's birth month and I like to keep in mind one of her favorite things -- chocolate!  I remember once I bought a big bag of Tootsie Rolls.  When I went to look for them, they were gone.  My daughter had hidden them in her closet and was eating a little bit every day!  But I didn't notice because I wasn't looking for them every day!

I varied the words on my September calendar, but both stamps are from the Everything Nice stamp set.  The leaves are from the Summer Silhouettes stamp set.  And of course, I used Early Expresso ink for the chocolate reminder!

I hope you enjoy September's calendar.  It's not too late for you to come to the Mill and make your own 2016 calendar! And if you don't have the time, I do have several made up and ready to purchase as well.

Weekly Deals

Here are this week's deals. When ordering, please use this hostess code: 3FJFZAJR.

Today I worked at the Mill for a few hours.  I had a class with a 7 year old young lady that made Bob, the minion, and she also made a Penguin post it note cover.  She had fun and was very creative.

I'll be at the Mill tomorrow as well, so stop in and see me!

Happy crafting,

August's Calendar

For August, I remember the kids going back to school and all of our flowers are still in bloom.  So I used some bright colors to bring out my flowers.

I used Sprinkles of Life stamp set and Calypso Coral ink for the calendar.  Again, I stamped off so the color didn't wash out my dates!  For the bottom, I used Lucky Limeade for the stems and Calypso Coral for the flowers.

I hope you enjoy the month of August!

I'll be back later today with this week's Stampin' Up! deals.

July's Calendar

I always make July's calendar a patriotic calendar; but it is also my other sister, Kathleen's birth month.  I try to tie the two together on this one.

Kathleen is a veteran and so I used "For Your Country" stamp set from Stampin' Up! and my favorite colors for July, of course, are red, white and blue!

I used Smokey Slate and stamped off before stamping the soldier on my calendar.  I then used Staz On to stamp the words on the bottom.

I hope you are safe and dry, today, as we're receiving more rains.

When you see this post, be sure to leave me a comment on what you like about it.

And as a reminder, I will have all the supplies at the Branson Mill Craft Village for you to craft your own 2016 calendar. When you have time, drop by and see me.  We can make your calendar together at your convenience.  Contact me if you plan on dropping by!

June's Calendar

Today I'm sharing June -- which is a reminder of warm weather and butterflies.  It's also my other sister, Marilyn's birth month!  So I used her favorite color, RED, and butterflies on this.

I used versa mark on the red to bring out the butterflies and then I used So Saffron to stamp some butterflies on the calendar.  The butterflies are from the Perpetual Calendar stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I punched out the butterflies with So Saffron Designer Series Paper and adhered with dimensionals.

With all the heavy rains we're having, I won't be at the Branson Mill Craft Village today.  I hope you will come back tomorrow to see me!

May Calendar

May's calendar was designed with my sister, Linda, AKA Queen Mother, in mind.  We had a Bates family reunion in Branson, Mo, a few years back and I remember we went to Cakes N Creams for a sundae.

Since May is Linda's birth month, I decided to pull out another retired stamp set, Every Day Celebrations and use the sundae.  I fussy cut it out and slipped it under the May month.  I then used the Tree Builder punch to punch out the "cherries."  I snipped out the APPLE stem to create a cherry and then used my Real Red Marker to make the stem.

Be sure to let me know what you think of this month's calendar!

Merry Christmas . . .

From my home to yours, have a very Merry Christmas!

As many of you know, my first "business" was breeding dachshunds.  My first dachshund was a black and tan named Elly.  We decided to let her have one litter, and we kept one of her pups, Charley.  But Charley was a girl, too, and I always loved the name Charley for a girl.  These are not my dogs, but when I saw this, I thought of Elly and Charlie.  They have both gone over the Rainbow bridge as this was over 20 years ago, but they will always be in my heart!

April Showers

With this being Christmas Eve, I'd like to wish each of you a Merry Christmas!  I'll be taking Friday off to spend with family as I hope you will be too!

For April's calendar, I used the Over the Rainbow stamp set along with Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise inks.  I stamped the word "Rainbow" in Daffodil Delight directly on the calendar and then added the words in Tempting Turquoise.

I love these two colors together and this just brightens my day!

Remember that through December, I will have all the supplies at the Branson Mill Craft Village for you to come out and make your own calendar.  If you cannot make it and would like one made for you, send me an email and I'll mail one to you already made.  You will have to put it together, as the binder rings don't mail well if put together!

Happy Easter!

Yes, Easter is early this year, coming in March.  I love to color so I colored my March calendar; however, I also stamped a sample where you don't have to do all the coloring I did.

For the plain one, I used Retired River Rock ink on River Rock cardstock.  I then used Crushed Cucumber and stamped Happy Easter.  I used the retired stamp set Indescribable Gift for the calendar.

For the one to color, I used Watermelon Wonder and Crushed Cucumber ink pads with blender pens to color in the leaves and buds.

Love is in the Air

For February, I like to use Valentine's Day as a theme.  I used the Sprinkles of Life stamp set to stamp the cloud on the calendar.  I then used the Confetti Hearts Punch to shower hearts from the clouds to the 14th of February!

If you would like to come make your own calendar, just let me know what works for you.  I will be at the Branson Mill Craft Village, normally from 10-4 each day and I already have all the supplies there to make the calendars!

My 2016 Calendar

Here is my 2016 Calendar.  First up is January.  I used a retired Project Life stamp set for the words and a retired Best of Christmas stamp set for Frosty.  I also used the snowflake stamp set from the same set to stamp on the calendar itself.

If you haven't gotten all your Christmas gifts, this little 4 X 4 calendar would be a great gift for those who work in an office or small area where they can have just a little something on display.

I have all the supplies available for you to come out to the Branson Mill and make your own calendar.  Class is $19.95. Let me know when you would like to come out and make your calendar!

Coffee, Anyone?

I thought I would offer some instant coffee packets for the parents since I have Hot Cocoa and Apple Cider for the kids and kids at heart!

Here is an adaptation of the poppers I made for Halloween and Christmas.

All I did was slim down the size to accommodate the coffee packets.  The first one is larger than the others so I had to manipulate the paper a little bit more.

I will be making three different style of poppers for the coffee!

Be sure to stop by and see me at the Branson Mill Craft Village from 10 am - 4 pm.  I will have a project available for you to craft while you are there!  And if you don't have the time to make it yourself, I should have some available for sale.  Come on in and check it out!

Starbursts

I had one medium size starburst available for sale and this woman came in and loved it.  She asked if I could make one out of red papers, so I let her go through my stash of retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers and let her select what she wanted.  I really would not have tried to make these with the red flocked paper.

These are the two Starbursts that I made for her.  As she noted, this one would be great for Valentine's Day as well.

Did I mention her name?  Mrs. Christmas!

Christmas Gift Bags

Here is a picture of one of the gift bags I completed for sale at the front register of the Branson Mill Craft Village.  I made a variety of bags with one handle, some with two handles, like this one, and some with ribbon belly bands.

If your curiosity is up, wondering what a ribbon belly band is, drop by the Branson Mill and check out my bags at the front registers.  If you are needing any small gifts or stocking stuffers, come back to my booth, Desiree's Craftroom, and see the selection of items I have available.

Yesterday was a slow day and I was able to make some beautiful (if I may say so myself!) Starbursts.  Come back tomorrow to see them!

Wacky Wednesday

Why wacky?  It's been very busy at Desiree's Craftroom. Here is a special order I worked on late into the night.  I was getting ready to leave for the day when these two women came in and bought all my pocket pouches and wanted 36 more!  By the next day!!  So you might think, "she went into panic mode."  Well, I didn't then because these are super cute and quite easy to make.  Now the double ink on the wording and 36 tiny gold bows did take some time to make.  But what did make me panic was right after they left, I had another woman come up and want 10 Santa Hershey Bar Wraps.  I only had 8 made!

So I agreed to have all 10 done by Friday morning (last week).  No panic yet because my Hershey bars were due to be delivered that day any way.

I got home, crafted the 10 Santa Bars and all is well.  Then I helped my husband with his new computer and realized that I still had to work on those 36 pouches.  Panic is now starting to set in.  It was 11 pm before I finished what I could do at home.  I needed the Cherry Cobbler ink to dry so I didn't smear it when I adhered the bows and attached to the pouches anyway.

It was then I realized the bars didn't get delivered!  Well, long story short, both special orders got to their respective buyers without any glitches.

Attaching bows to tags

Original Pouches they purchased
I'm sorry I didn't get a picture of the ones I did before they came, but it was a Wacky Wednesday, after all!

Weekly Deals!

There is so much going on this week.  Doesn't your time get hectic as Christmas or any holiday approaches?  Whew! Well, I've been very busy crafting a variety of things and here are some of the latest that I've done.

First are some more Purse style gift card holders.  All of my Christmas ones sold so I finished up five more for the tree and hung them up for sale.

On the counter are the three Holiday Gift Bags I created using two pieces of Designer Series Papers.  These are on display up front by the cash registers for sale should someone want to purchase.  I also have some on my shelf/wall for sale.  I need to get a picture of those!

Today's weekly deals are posted as well. Shop here for the weekly deals and don't forget to use the current Hostess Code: 3FJFZAJR when ordering. Also, check out the year end sale to see if there is anything that you might have forgotten.

Lots to look at, but there are also lots of savings going on!

Come back tomorrow for more of what I've been crafting.

Happy Crafting to YOU!

Here are the pictures, again, of our projects:

Weekly Deals

Here are Stampin' Up!s weekly deals. If you'd like any of these items, be sure to order early! Please use Hostess Code, HNQNESJZ, when placing your order. This code will be closing out this Saturday! My favorite item on the Weekly Deals is the Precision Base Plate. This really helps when cutting the intricate framelits like the numbers for our 2016 calendar, the delicate ornament dies, and the many delicate word dies.
Here are some of the items I used the Precision Base Plate:

I am placing an order today and will place another order on Saturday evening. If there is anything that you want or need, let me know!

You will be making four different gifts -- all materials are cut and ready for you to come make that special gift for that special someone!

Our Angel ornament will say JOY not the verse you see here. I have a sample on my Tree at the Mill. We'll only be making the Snowman Hershey Bar Wrap, and we will have different designer papers and words for our stand up Post It note. I hope you can join me today!

Calendar Class Today!

I will be at the Branson Mill Craft Village today for Calendar Classes.  I hope YOU will be able to join me!  Class will be open from 10:30 am until 3 pm.  You can come anytime during that window.  Please realize that it will take you about 2 to 3 hours to complete your calendar.  If you are an experienced stamper, you may get done sooner!

Tomorrow, I am having a Christmas Gift class at the Branson Mill from 10:30 until 3 pm as well.  We will be making four different gifts -- a Snowman Bar Wrap, a Christmas Tree Treat, an Angel, and a Stand Up Post It Note holder.

I hope you can join me for one of these two classes.  I will be repeating both classes throughout the month of December, so come out and see me!

I took yesterday off from being at the Mill so we could get our Christmas decorations up outside.  It was such a beautiful day!  I also made these Post It Note Holders as I was running short in my store.

These smaller ones will have the words, "For You," die cut from the Mini Treat Bag Framelits.  I cut three and layer for a dimensional look.  I'll post a picture once I get them die cut.

Let me know if you would like to purchase any of these for your Christmas stocking stuffers!

Calendar Class Tomorrow!

Don't forget that we will be making 2016 Calendars tomorrow at the Branson Mill Craft Village.  I will be there from 10 am to 5 pm.  You can come make your calendar any time from 10:30 until 3 pm.  This gives you time to finish it and me time to clean up!  Depending on how fast you stamp, will depend on how long you will be crafting.

I do ask that you bring your favorite adhesive for this class.  I will provide the rest of the supplies!

I will be making a calendar at the Mill today to ensure I have all the supplies there for tomorrow, so if you'd like to drop by and see what we will be doing, I should be there today from 10 am until 4 pm.

Here's a sneak peak at the calendar:

Thirsty Thursday

Sounds funny, doesn't it?  I'm always looking for new ideas for my posts.  I'm "thirsty" for new ideas.  Do you have an idea or saw something but don't know how to make it?  Send me a picture and I'll see if I can create it for you!  I love sharing my ideas so you can create what I make.   Most times, I try to write instructions as I go, but other times, I write them up when someone asks for them.

I've been trying to get back to these pine cones, but have been busy (yes, that is good!) crafting items to keep my booth stocked with items.  Hopefully soon, I can get back and make some more of these and then write those instructions!

Today I will be making more of those Snowman Hershey Bar Wraps and I WILL get a picture!  I'm also going to play with making a Reindeer wrap -- hopefully it looks as cute as I picture in my head.

Don't forget that the Holiday Catalog expires on January 4th, so get what you want before time runs out.  If a loved one doesn't know what to get you, give them your wish list and have them contact me to order those items for you!

Drop by the Branson Mill Craft Village and come introduce yourself.  I'd love to meet with you and share my crafting ideas.

Happy Crafting,

Desiree'

Here are the items that we will be making:

I'll get a picture of our Snowman Hershey Bar Wrap today!

I hope you can come join me.  If neither date works for you, let me know what day does work and let's see if I have everything at the Mill that day for you to stop in and make a few gifts!  Cost of the class is $20.
