Tombow Liquid Glue Holder

Many of you have taken my classes and know that I like to use Tom-bow liquid glue.  I usually keep mine in a cup or craft bag upside down to keep the glue at the tip.

A fellow demonstrator, Nancy F., shared this on our demonstrator page and I knew I had to make one.

Normally when I'm experimenting with a new fold/project, I use retired cardstock and designer series papers.  So, yes, I used Baked Brown Sugar for the base and retired DSP.  Although Poppy Parade is now a current color, the DSP is from the year that it was a new In-Color.

I'm so in love with this little box.  I now have two of them -- one for my everyday crafting, and one for my classes at the Mill.

I hope you enjoy today's share!

Another Alternative Paper Pumpkin

This is a card I made using the slider mechanism to pull up and display our message.  This is one of the technique cards we will be making in our Monthly Technique classes.

I used everything from the kit plus a piece of DSP (black and gold) from the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  Here's a close up of the card opened.

If you see a technique that you would like to learn, just let me know so I can put it on the schedule!

Don't forget, we have class tonight at 6 PM at the Branson Community Center.  See you there!

February Paper Pumpkin Alternative

Here's a card I made using the February Paper Pumpkin kit. I added my own Basic Grey Cardstock for the base and added Mint Macaron as a layer.

If you receive Paper Pumpkin and would like to bring your kit in and play with me, just give me a heads up so I make sure I'm at the store!  Bring your kit, and your own adhesive, and we can spend time brainstorming what we want to make with the kit.

Come back tomorrow for another alternative with this Paper Pumpkin kit.

And don't forget, we have card class tomorrow night from 6-8 pm at the Branson Community Center!

Paper Pumpkin's Birthday!

***Here is a message from Paper Pumpkin that I wanted to share with all of you!

Paper Pumpkin is turning six and we want to celebrate with you! After all, we could not have shared all these years of creativity if it weren’t for our demonstrators and subscribers.

To celebrate this fun occasion and to thank everyone who supports Paper Pumpkin month after month, we’re offering a specially-designed March kit and a FREE STAMP SET. Oh, yes. You read that right. In March, you will receive TWO stamp sets with your Paper Pumpkin kit.

We don’t want to give away too much, but here’s a little bit about the March kit that we want to share with you to get you excited! Because it’s our birthday, we decided to create a kit that is perfect for making birthday cards!

§ The March kit features eight full-sized, mailable cards
§ Coordinating colors are Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, and Poppy Parade
§ This kit has an element that is sure to “pop”!
§ The FREE stamp set is even bigger and better than your typical Paper Pumpkin stamp set and can be used on a variety of crafting projects.
 What you need to know:
§ A subscriber must have an active subscription by March 10, 2019 in order to receive the March kit.
§ The FREE stamp set coordinates with the March kit but it is not needed to complete the projects.
§ Supplies may be limited toward the end of the subscription period.

To subscribe so you can get a March Paper Pumpkin kit- CLICK HERE!  Or CONTACT ME HERE!

Remember -- sign up early to ensure you get your TWO stamps for the price of one.

Hershey Nugget Cross

In the past, I've made many of these crosses.

I decided to try something different after a friend and I brainstormed about it.  This is the proto-type.  I want to perfect this as well -- I think maybe four nuggets down to snug it up a bit.  And of course I want to add a tag!

I'll be sure to post another picture once I've made it back to this project!

I made time to get this newer version done before I posted this.  Tell me which one you like better--the smaller one with 5 nuggets or the larger one with 6 nuggets!

In the meantime,

Snowman Nuggets

Today's share is a craft that I was wanting to make for my store.  We've seen so much snow in Iowa and in the northeast that I thought these would be cute!

I wasn't fond of the look of my Spirited Snowman stamp for this project, so I pulled out my reliable Frosty stamp set.  It's an old set, but one I LOVE!

I stamped and fussy cut the snowman head and scarf to add atop the first nugget.  I absolutely love how this turned out.

Be sure to leave me a comment whether Frosty meets your approval!

Double Slider Card

Today's share may be familiar to my Iowa stampers.  This is a card we made years ago.

I received some extra pouches from the January Paper Pumpkin and made this sampler.  I want to perfect the slider and hopefully we'll be able to make these in April in time for Mother's Day!

I know not all of us have a mom to give these to -- but every once in a while I will send my daughter a Mother's Day surprise.  I plan on getting the card designed for us all to make so we can send to that special someone.

Beauty Abound

Today's share is a card I literally CASED!  (Copy and Share Everything).  I wanted to make this card because of the beauty of it.  Thank you fellow demonstrator, Andrea S., for the inspiration to make this card!

I used Beauty Abound and coordinating framelits along with the Sale-A-Bration butterfly DSP  to make this card.

And when you open it, the other butterflies pop out!

After showing this to a couple of my class attendees -- they decided they definitely want to learn this technique!

Mini Miura Cards

Today's share is a card I looked into because one of my class attendees was going to go home and try to figure this card out!  I'd not heard of it so of course I had to look it up and give it a try.  No instructions yet, but I hope to make another one of these and take photos as I go.

Did you see the two cards open differently?  That's because I cut my designer series papers (DSP) opposite of what I wanted!  That's why you get two cards today!

Thank You, Marilyn C. for the inspiration to research another new fold!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today's share is a heart box  I made using the new Be Mine Stitched framelits in our Occasions catalogs.  There's just enough room for your love's favorite candies as long as they are small.

I wasn't sold on these until I used another demonstrator's set and now I have to have them!  Isn't this cute?

So Hoppy

Today's share is the third card we will be making on Feb 26th in our card class from 6-8 pm at the Branson Community Center.

So Hoppy is available FREE with a $50 Stampin' Up! order.  I used the Gingham Gala papers for a background and the Rectangular Stitched Framelits to add dimension to the frog.

My marker tips are worn out so the coloring is choppy, but I hope you can see past that and see the fun little frog sharing his excitement -- You can do ANYTHING!

Home to Roost

My upline, Susie Wood, celebrated achieving Million Dollar Sales. One of her swaps was with Home to Roost and I fell in love with it.  I changed up the markers in lieu of blends, and spritzed my cardstock with water and Shimmer Paint before embossing with the Hexagon Dynamic Embossing Folder.

This is another card we will be making in our Feb 26th card class!  If you cannot make this class, but want to make the three cards, contact me to reschedule!

Animal Outing

Today's share is a card we will be making in our February 26th card class at the Branson Community Center.  Don't worry!  If you cannot make the class, we can hold another class at the Branson Mill Craft Village any day/time that fits your schedule!

I used the Animal Outing Stamp set for this card.  I wanted to use up some supplies I had from our Peek-A-Boo card supplies.  I just couldn't get the circles punched -- so I made extras for class.

This is a fun card and if you don't like to color -- no worries, it will still be a fun card.  The nice thing about this set is that Stampin' Up! has coordinating Designer Series Papers and Framelits to diecut the animals out if you don't want to stamp them!  Thanks, Deb T., for letting us use your framelits!

Please remember to let me know you are planning on attending class so I have enough supplies cut and ready for everyone!

Beautiful Promenade

As promised, I am back with a card I revamped from a class I taught in Iowa five years ago.  Here's the original card we made.

I found supplies in a box and decided to revamp using what I had already cut.  Here's what I came up with, using Beautiful Promenade and Beauty Abound Stamp sets.

I love this new layout and hope you will pull out your crafting supplies and make something fun!

January Paper Pumpkin

I'm sharing an alternative use for January's Paper Pumpkin.  This kit comes once a month and it's always a surprise on what we will be making.  These kits come with all the cardstock, embellishments, dimensionals, ribbon, etc., including a stamp set and ink spot to create your project.  Nothing says you have to make the kit the way Stampin' Up! designed it.  You are encouraged to think outside the box and make your own creations!

This is something I'm making with my group at the Branson Community Center.  The designer paper does have hearts on it, and we all can use a little extra love sometimes, right?  I tried to make these as friends gift/card in lieu of Valentines -- but these can be changed out!

The kit comes with 24 pouches to make your Valentine treats.  I chose to cut one down and make a "cup" to hold something special.  You can put Hot Cocoa pouches, coffee sticks, candy, gift cards, etc. inside.  And a cute little card using a second pouch cut down.

I hope you enjoy today's share!  Come back tomorrow for a card I made for my Iowa group of ladies five (yes, FIVE!) years ago that I revamped with left over supplies.

Detailed Floral Thinlets

Today’s card is made using the Detailed Floral Thinlets in the Annual catalog.

I first created a stencil and sponged color using Bermuda Bay on whisper white.  Using Whisper White Thick Cardstock for your stencils makes sponging easy!  I then die cut the floral thinlet in Seafoam Green and mounted over the sponged whisper white. I stamped the word “Congratulations” between the two floral frames.  To finish this card, I mounted the whole piece on Bermuda Bay card base.

If you would like to learn about stencils and sponging, contact me for a class!

Artfully Aware

This is one last card I created with the shaving cream technique.  I used Artfully Aware, from the Occasions catalog along with Tranquil Tide layered on Daffodil Delight cardstock.

Many of us have struggled with or know someone who has struggled with cancer and treatment. It’s difficult for the whole family. Keep those touched by this horrible disease in your prayers.
