Another Christmas Card

Today I'm sharing another card I made on Wednesday.  I am trying to use up my retired Designer Series Paper (DSP) so on this card, I stamped snowflakes from the retired stamp set Endless Wishes on the DSP.  The Merry Christmas is also from the Endless Wishes stamp set.

Using our new tree punch, I punched out three trees and ran them through the big shot using one of my embossing folders.

The stamp set I used on the bottom is the White Christmas Stamp set that you can still purchase.  This may be one of the cards I offer up in November as a kit to make your own Christmas Cards!

This is the first one I made.  I thought just the car with the tree wasn't enough and the deer, I felt, was in the wrong place.

Be sure to leave me a comment to let me know what you think of this card.

Happy Crafting,

Desiree'

Friday's Card

Today's card is another share from Wednesday's busy crafting day.  I cased this from another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Tami White.  Case stands for Copy And Share Everything.  I changed a couple of things and I really love the way it came out!

So, details of card stock and measurements are below.  Here are some tips to create this card.

I used Mossy Meadow ink and stamped the first image and then stamped a second image without re-inking my stamp.  I then used a spray adhesive and adhered a USED dryer sheet (if yours are really wrinkly, iron first!) and trimmed to the size of card.  I then added some Dazzling Diamonds to add some sparkle.

I then adhered my stamped image to the Brushed Gold card stock using snail adhesive.

Before adhering my Brushed Gold to the card base, I wrapped Early Expresso Tulle (retired) around the base and added a piece of twine for some contrast.

I added another piece of Very Vanilla card stock inside and stamped my sentiment in Mossy Meadow.  This sentiment is from another retired stamp set, Christmas Greetings.

Ingredients for my card:

Early Expresso card stock for the base (8-1/2 X 5-1/2, scored at 4-1/4)
Brushed Gold card stock second layer (4 X 5-1/4)
Very Vanilla card stock (3-3/4 X 5 and for the inside 4 X 5-1/4)
Mossy Meadow Classic Ink Pad
Lovely As a Tree stamp set (oldest one in our catalog!)
Dazzling Diamonds glitter

Be sure to let me know if you have any questions!

Christmas in July

I missed posting yesterday, but I was pretty busy in Desiree's Craftroom.  Here is one of seven cards I made yesterday.  I'm getting ready for my Christmas in July Craft Fair on July 17th and 18th.  If you are local to the Branson area, I hope you will come see me at Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church from 10-4 on Friday and 9-2 on Saturday.

For this card, I used traditional Christmas colors; Garden Green for the base and Real Red for accent.  I used the new Festival of Trees Stamp Set and Punch to create the trees.  First I tried White Craft Ink, but it took way too long to dry, so I did the second card in the Silver Encore Ink (retired).  I added Christmas Wishes from the retired Ornamental Pine stamp set and some Silver Glimmer paper stars to finish it off.

This is a simple, mail-friendly Christmas card that goes together quickly.

Be sure to let me know what you think of this Center Step Card!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there.  Here are the cards I helped our grandkids, Bailey and Anthony, make for their Daddy.  We mailed them so Dad would have them in time for Father's Day.

Bailey chose the train from the Traveler stamp set to remind daddy of the train ride they took together while visiting Branson.  Anthony chose the deer from Noble Deer (retired) because he loves to hunt with his Dad.  We also used Work of Art and the Happy Father's Day stamp is from one of our Paper Pumpkin kits.

I hope you enjoy their cards!

June Paper Pumpkin

Do NOT watch if you don't want your surprise spoiled!!

Have you received your June 2015 Paper Pumpkin yet?  Mine's not here yet, but here is the Stampin' Up! video for this month's kit.

Well it has been a busy few days and today will be another busy day.  We have our grand kids with us so we've been trying to do things with them whenever the rain lets us.  One day we got caught at one of the playgrounds in a real soaker.  We got wet but didn't melt.

Yesterday we took them to see Amazing Pets in Branson and both of them really enjoyed that.  Today, we're going to see if we can take in Silver Dollar City.  The kids haven't seen Fireman's Landing and that will be a fun area for both of them.

Watercolor Technique

I'm trying to learn how to watercolor using my Stampin' Up! Aqua painters -- these are great for the watercolor technique.  The trick is not getting too much water!  Look for another sample tomorrow!

Here's my first "shareable" results.  Yes, I tried many times before I was satisfied with this one.  Still more playing going on with this, so if you'd like to learn the watercolor technique, contact me to attend a class!

On this card, I used Whisper White card stock, a clear block, and my ink pads.  Then I used my Aqua Painters to give it a watercolor look.

I would love to hear your comments.  Until then,

Third Card for Blue Hallet Bag

Today, I'm sharing the third card I made for my Hallett Bag.  I love the Lotus Blossom stamp set from this year's Sale-A-Bration.

I started out with one of the solid colors from the bag and added coordinating designer paper.  Then I stamped my Lotus Blossom on whisper white cardstock and adhered to the front.  On the inside I added a simple "Thank You" sentiment from the same stamp set.

And as a reminder, here is the bag this card will go into.

Well, that's all for today.  I hope you enjoy today!

New Four Panel Easel Card

Here is another card I made, especially for today.  It's my sister's birthday and since I know she opened her card, I can now share it with you!

I found this four panel easel card on Pinterest and knew I had to CASE it.  What is CASE?  Copy and share everything!

A picture of the two of us printed on vellum.

Inside one panel wishing her a Happy Birthday.

Third panel - before I added the picture to the right panel.

Last panel.

My sister loves butterflies, flowers, and, of course, FAMILY!  I had so much fun making this card and she is carrying this around and showing everyone!  That's why I love to make cards!

Happy crafting,

Desiree'

Kleenex Wraps

Well, I wasn't sure what to call this box, so I called it a Kleenex Wrap.  I saw someone posted on Facebook and when I saved the photo, I didn't name the person, so if this is your design, let me know so I can give you credit!

I used retired Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper on Lucky Limeade card stock.  Punched a whole using the large oval punch and slipped a pack of Kleenex inside to make sure when I closed the backside, it was a snug fit.  A few nice things about this project are that it went together fast, they would make a great teacher gift, or a little gift for someone who is sick.  Oh, and you can refill the wrap when the Kleenex are gone!

I will be going through my retired stamp sets soon to decide which ones I can part with.  If you're local to Hollister, Mo, be sure to keep an eye out for my one day only Stampin' Up! Stamp Sale.  I will also be putting out embellishments, Designer Series Paper, and other scrapbooking items.

Happy Crafting!

Card Two of Four - Set sold with a Bag

Today's share is another card that will go into this "bag" that I made while visiting my sister in PA.

I made four cards to go into this bag.  This is the second one I finished once I got home.  I thought the blue butterfly needed a little something so I added Dazzling Diamonds using my two-way glue.  I also used the reverse cutout from a card my sister made.

The stamp set is from May, 2015, Paper Pumpkin.  I just love the photopolymer stamps!  See how I was able to bend the Celebrate?  I love this card.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments on this card!

Happy Crafting,

New Card Using May Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set

Today's card is one I made using negative cutout of the Butterfly Framelits and the stamp set from May, 2015, Paper Pumpkin.  These stamps are not available any where else except from Paper Pumpkin.

I cut a butterfly and then added glitter to the wings using a two-way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds.  I left the inside blank for personalizing your message.

This is card one of four that will go into a bag that I will share later on my blog.  Be sure to let me know if you have any questions or comments!

Thursday's Project

Here is something I worked on Thursday as I get ready for another craft fair in July!  I'm used retired Stampin' Up! products to create this bag and four cards with envelopes.

The bag is cased from Kirsteen Gill, another SU demonstrator.  The cards are my own design.

I used retired Apple Cider DSP, buttons and retired River Rock and Really Rust card stock for the bag and cards so they all coordinated.  For the words, I used Teeny Tiny Wishes which comes in handy for many occasions!

I used the Retired Blossom punch for the two cards and embossed with the Lovely Lace embossing folder.  I also used the Bitty Butterfly punch to add some dimension to the cards.  For the various words, I used the word window punch, and layered using the large oval punch, the Decorative Label punch, and the retired Modern Label punch.

If you haven't already RSVP'd for Sunday's card class, be sure to let me know you're coming!

A Neat Card for a Friend

Yes, today I'm sharing a card I made for a very special lady who moved to Arizona. Since she has opened her card, I can now post it. This was inspired from a card I found on Pinterest from Cibele Glazer.  The roof comes up and displays my message.

How cute is this?

Dawn loved it!

Are you ready?

Tomorrow is the only day you can order from both retiring catalogs and the new 2015-2016 catalogs!  Get your wish list out and place your order tomorrow!  Here's our Hostess Code, HKYVKRNE, which will close tomorrow evening.

Here's another card that we'll be making on June 7th in our June Card Class.  Isn't this cute?

I used the retired stamp set, Delightful Dozen for the sentiment (but wouldn't this look cute with the new Get Well Soup stamp set?) and the retiring stamp set, Project Life Holiday Cheer, for the edging around the pocket.  The designer paper is from the new Bohemian Designer Series Paper stack.  The base of the card is the new Delightful Dijon from our 2015-2017 In Colors.

And, yes, that is a kleenex (well a partial one) in the pocket!

Let me know what you think of today's card.  If you plan on attending card class on Sunday, please let me know by Wednesday, June 3rd, so I have enough supplies cut and ready!
