Final Ribbon of Courage

Here is the last Ribbon of Courage card I created using the embossed sheets I had stored away.

The front is layered on black then on the Pink Pirouette.  I used a paper doily and then popped the ribbon up on dimensionals.

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment and then cut it out using the Stitched framelits.  The stitched framelits give any card a nice, elegant look!

Ribbon of Courage Revisited

I want to send a big shout out to Doris and Linda for coming in yesterday to craft with me at Desiree's Craftroom located inside the Branson Mill Craft Village!  We had fun making four different gift items.  Photos coming soon!

Today's share is another card made using the Ribbon of Courage stamp set and coordinating dies from Stampin' Up!

This is an old embossing folder that I had and love how the ribbon fits inside.  To make the card pop, I added the gold foil paper punched out and then popped up with dimensionals.

On the inside, I added a sentiment from the set, but die cut it out using the stitched framelits and then mounting with dimensionals.  These are little ways to make your card pop!

You can get all your supplies to make these cards from my Stampin' Up! store,  Just remember, though, I did use retired embossing folders to make these cards!

Squashing It

We're going to step away from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set today, and show you something I've created in Desiree's Craftroom, located inside the Branson Mill Craft Village.  Fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Jane A., shared this on Facebook and I just had to make some.

Well, the first one I made is gone, so I quickly made some with Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers, ink and stamps!  First picture is the top view of the ornament.

Here is the opened front of the ornament.

And lastly, here is the ornament when it is closed.

These are so fun to make and so quick!  I've now made two of them while my customers wait -- one sat down with me to learn how to do them while her husband watched!

If you would like to learn how to make these, I'll be putting a Squash Ornament class on my schedule.  Be looking for this as well as the Moravian Star class coming soon!

Another Ribbon of Courage

As most of you know, I love layering!  Well, today's post is using Stampin' Up! Ribbon of Courage stamp set and another retired embossing folder.  Using Melon Mambo ink, I stamped the ribbon and die cut it with the coordinating dies. I also used another stamp set (not sure which one) for the Believe, which I used the stitched framelits to cut out.  I popped both die cuts with dimensionals.

I also layered the inside for a beautiful effect.

If you see something that I've posted that you would like to make, be sure to contact me so we can have a class!

Ribbon of Courage

I was playing with my embossing folders and had these in my stash so decided to put them to good use.  Yes, these embossing folders are retired, so you will need to substitute the folders for what you have in your stash!

My card base is Pink Pirouette, layered with my whisper white embossed sheet.  On this first card, I used the floral ribbon from Stampin' Up! Ribbon of Courage stamp set and Melon Mambo ink.  I die cut (yes, it comes in a bundle, so you save 10%) the ribbon and mounted using dimensionals.

For the inside, I used the heart stamp in this set and created a flower.  I did have a little pink in the center so I added a pearl (not shown in the picture!) to the center.

I wasn't sure whether I liked this so I went back and added another sentiment from the set and used my Stitched Framelits to cut it out.  This too is popped up on dimensionals.

Be sure to drop me a note to let me know what you think of this card.  I'll be sharing more with this set tomorrow.

Music Notes Cone Wreath

I've been meaning to get back to the Cone Wreaths as I've sold most of the ones I had made.  Here are three samples of wreaths that I have on display.  These are made with a variety of product so bare with me.

This first one was made using an old Hymnal that was falling apart.  I cut out 16-18 4" squares for the outer layer and 14-16 3" squares for the inner layer.  I did use the new Merry Music Specialty DSP from Stampin' Up! for the black pieces.

I didn't have my embellishments at work, so I just added an older version of our doilies and finished it off.

On this second one, I used the same materials, but made it smaller, using 3" squares and 2" squares. I also used the new Foil Snowflakes from Stampin' Up! on this one.

For this last one, I used just Stampin Up! Music Notes DSP, using 3" squares and 2" squares.  I used the new Foil Snowflakes and die cut Peace out of our Black Glitter Paper.

I hope you enjoy today's share!

Honoring Our Veterans

Today's share are some items I'm making for our veterans visiting in Branson. I downloaded the emblems of the five different branches of service as well as the POW emblem. I then printed on white cardstock and added ModPodge after the ink dried. Carefully apply the ModPodge as the ink will still bleed if you're not careful!

This is the old Air Force emblem. I show these with a tealight (electric) in the center once they remove the cup. I also put three pieces of Hershey Nuggets inside the cup so they get a little treat.

Here are the other services that I currently have on display:

Be sure to stop in and see these in person at Desiree's Craftroom, located inside the Branson Mill Craft Village!

Missing in Action?

You're probably wondering where is Desiree'?  Well, I've been at the Branson Mill Craft Village, crafting up a storm.  I had to learn a new graphics program so I can add my watermarks.  PicMonkey is no longer allowing me to save my images once I make changes.

Here are some Christmas gift ideas I made using the mini coffee cups.  Be sure to remember to order the lids, too, as they are separate!

I made the stand, using a pattern I had from last year.  The red wrap-around band allows the customer to add a gift card if they so choose.  Here, I'm using scraps of non-Stampin' Up! papers but my base is always Stampin' Up! card stock.  If you doubt the quality, stop in and I'll show you the difference!

These have been very popular as I sold all of these and had to make more -- and Christmas is NOT just around the corner.  I need to find time to make more!  So if you're in the Branson area and want to play with me, let me know when you'd like to come in!  I'm at the Branson Mill Craft Village Wednesday-Sundays; usually 10-5.

I also have the new Holiday Catalog available as well as our Annual Catalog.  Stop in and pick yours up today!

Happy Crafting,
