Last Day for Patriotic Wreath Class!

Today is the last time I will be offering the Patriotic Wreath class.  It starts at 12:30 and should be completed by 2 pm.  All supplies are cut and ready for you to assemble.  Learn tips and tricks on making your own wreaths!

Today's share are some anniversary cards I made yesterday. No one came to class, so I inventoried my cards and found I was out of Anniversary Cards!

I tried to select some new colors as well as "typical" wedding colors for these cards.  I also varied the layering on them. They really turned out cute! I used current cardstock colors, Wisteria Wonder in front, Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo, Emerald Envy and Real Red.  Some have double layering, others just the embossed hearts.  I left these blank inside for easily writing a personalized message.

If you have a special anniversary coming up and need a card, let me know your wedding colors and we can make it extra special.  My special orders are usually completed within 2 days.

Patriotic Wreath Class

Today, I'm at the store cutting supplies for the Patriotic Wreath class tomorrow starting at 12:30.  Depending how fast you work, you can be completed within 2 hours or less. This wreath does go together pretty fast and you will learn some money saving tips as well!

Today, I'm also going to work on some pinwheels.  I need to find the right straws; I'm looking for patriotic red!  Here are a couple I made yesterday after working on some new name tags for our cashiers.

I used 6 X 6 double sided Designer Series Papers from Stampin' Up!  To provide a spacer so the pinwheels turn, I cut a coffee stirrer to about 1/8" and put that between the pinwheel and the straw I used as a handle.

I hope I can make more today, and will hold some back to demonstrate when people come to see today!

If you are following me on Twitter or Instagram, I'll be posting there as well but don't spoil it for others--I always tell people to come see what I'm working on.  You  already know!

New Design of 3 X 5 Notepads

So you probably know by now that I'm not at the store this week.  I'll be back on Monday, but to tide you over, here are some 3 X 5 notepads I made to look more masculine.  I figure the guys take notes too, right?

And how cute is the whale?  I love this paper and since it is now retired, I get to make a variety of cards, and crafts using it to sell to my customers.

Here is another picture of the Note Pads using the same Designer Series papers:

I think these are cute with the nautical look as well as the patriotic look.  I hope you enjoy today's share!

Critter Boxes

I sold these critter boxes so had to make up some more.  Remember, if you see a critter box that you like but want to make yourself, I do make up kits to sell as well.  I have some different kits available now both on line and at the store!

Check out the turtle's tail!  Isn't it cute?  I used a retired punch to create the head, legs, and tail.  The body is embossed with the Hexagon embossing folder!

If I don't have instructions already done, it takes me two days to get them done, so let me know what one you would like to have!

Critter Kits Now Available!

I now have a few of the Critter Kits available for purchase!

What comes with your kit?  All the pieces to make your critter, including printed instructions through email.  I've taken detailed photos so you can easily put your critter together.

Don't see the critter kit you want?  Be sure to let me know as I only have four tutorials done!  I can move your favorite to the top and get the instructions written for you.

These are the kits I currently have available:

Penguin - $3.50

Minion - $3.50

Owl - $3.50

Frog - $3.50

I will take pictures of each critter as I make them.  Keep in mind that the picture you see on the website and what is in your kit may be different.  Also, the kit instructions may be different as well.  For instance, I've made several different owls so the pictures in the tutorial aren't the blue owl, but the brown owl.  Also, the chest plate may be different as well.

Be sure to let me know which Critter kit you would like to purchase!  All you will need is some strong glue (Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue), scissors, and a toothpick!

A toothpick?  Really??  Yes, I find this is the easiest way to pick up the smaller pieces and place them on the faces!  You will see in the pictures!

Another Blush Blossom Shadow Box

Because I sent my sister's shadow box in the mail, I had to make another one for the Mill.  Here's the one I made:

I used the same Blush Blossom cardstock and stamped the flourishes from the retired stamp set, Priceless.  I added some heart designer series paper to the background on this one.

I added the butterflies (double mounted) and added antennae using the bow from the Mini Treat Bag thinlits.

This shadow box is very similar to Marilyn's and I am obsessed with making these.  If you have a special color you would like one made from, just drop me a line and let me know!

Cross Shadow Box

Here is another shadow box I made, using retired designer series paper, Something Borrowed.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how this one came out.

I used the same cardstock for the outline of the box as I did on the crosses.  I wanted the big cross to stand out so I popped it up using the new strips of dimensionals and added pearls.  For the two smaller crosses, I glued those to the background and added jewels to them.  I also used the petite petal punch for the larger flowers and the retired itty bitty punch set for the smaller flowers.

Cucumber Crush Shadow Box

I had so much fun making these, that I have to share the variety that I made.  Today's share is using the retired designer series paper, Shine On.  I love how the green pops the frame with the silver polka dots in the center.

I die cut the butterflies from the scraps of the shadow box.  I used the new Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper pack to die cut the flowers for this box.  I also used the same Botanical Builder framelits.

Be sure to let me know if you have any questions!

* Wednesday - July 20th - 12:30 - 3:30 - Watercolor Class

Marilyn's Birthday Card

Today I'm back to share with you my sister's Screen Card.  I love making these and they really aren't that difficult.  I used the same Blush Blossom cardstock as the base that I used on the shadow box.

I used the Confetti Hearts Boarder punch for the top of the card and the Decorative Label punch for the bottom of the card.  I then used up some retired designer series papers for each of the four panels. Again, I brought in the Botanical Builder Framelits and Rose Garden Thinlits to decorate each panel.  I stamped the words on Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut the Birthday Wishes using the retired Circle Card Framelits.  I punched the butterfly out of Blush Blossom cardstock, using the Elegant Butterfly Punch for the front one.  I used the Itty Bitty Butterfly Punch for the back panel.

Here are a couple of more close up photos:

New Catalog Launch Class

Today, from 12:30 - 5:30, I'm hosting the new Catalog Launch Class at the Branson Mill Craft Village.  Remember to bring plenty of 4 X 5-1/4 cardstock if you want to try out the new and/or current embossing folders and framelit/thinlets!

Judy came out for yesterday's class and spent the afternoon learning to use the Big Shot by embossing and die cutting images to make a variety of cards when she has time!

I don't have another class scheduled, so you will need to contact me if you missed out on these two dates to come out and try our new stuff!

Happy Crafting,

Shadow Box

I was trying to think of something special for my sister, Marilyn's Birthday.  She and I share my passion of stamping and paper crafting.  Yes, we even Skype together and craft!

Well, when I finished her projects, everyone at the Mill really liked the finished product -- so much, they wanted to put it up front for sale!  I told them they would have to wait because I had to get this in the mail!

Well, Marilyn has received her box of surprises, and loves both!

Here is the shadow box I created for her after viewing a few videos on Youtube.  I decided to use JanB's video as a guide and came up with this.

I used the retired cardstock, Blush Blossom, and stamped some flourishes from the retired Priceless stamp set.  I then die cut her favorite, butterflies, from whisper white cardstock and popped it up using the new strips of dimensionals from Stampin' Up!  I LOVE this new product.  You will see me using this alot!!

I then die cut some flowers using the Botanical Builders Framelits and the leaves are from the Rose Garden Thinlits.

Look for Marilyn's card tomorrow!

One last Father's Day Card

I found some more colors that coordinated with my retired In-Color envelope paper so decided to make some bright Father's Day cards.

I used the Guy Greetings stamp set to stamp the car in Tip Top Taupe onto whisper white cardstock.  I used the Cucumber Crush cardstock and layered the envelope paper on the front to simulate lines on the road.  I then stamped the sentiment on white cardstock, using Cucumber Crush Ink.

I really like how these cards turned out.  I hope you do too!

Another Father's Day Card

Here is another Father's Day card I made using up some of the old card kits.  Don't worry, I still have some kits for you to come in and make!

This card is made using the two stamp sets, Work of Art, and Wetlands.  Both sets are still available in the new catalog. The Father's Day stamp is from another Paper Pumpkin kit.

I stamped off so the Bermuda Bay ink wouldn't be so dark.  I then stamped with Tip Top Taupe. I stamped the birds in Momento Black ink as well as the Happy Father's Day.  To add some color, I mounted the sentiment on to a piece of retired designer series paper scrap that coordinated with the colors I chose.

Desiree'

Father's Day

Well, Father's day is just a little over a week away and I wanted to get these posted to stir up your creative juices in making your own special Father's Day card.

Yes, I did use up some kits that I had on hand -- remember the By the Tide Happy Birthday cards?  Well here is what I did with the other three sets that were left over.

What do you think?  Will they be a hit?  I love how the word bubble looks like the fish is talking!

Single Tea Bag Holders

When I first created these, I thought of my 93-year old grandmother, Nana.  She loved her tea and I love my Green Tea with Pomegranate.  I made a few of these last year and so I decided to make some more this year.  I had a special order on Saturday last week, and I sold what I had made and quickly made up these five for the time that I'm not there.

These measure 10 X 3 and are scored at 3-1/2, 4, 4-1/2 and 8.  I then did the mountain/valley fold for the center piece.  I added my tea bag to the center inside using glue dots.  I then pulled out my favorite Paper Pumpkin stamp set, A Cup of Cheer, and stamped the tea cup, tea bag, and steam on the bottom flap.  Here is a picture of the inside of one of the ones I made last year.

And here are the tea bag holders I made yesterday.

Be sure to let me know if you have any questions!

Pop Of Pink Designer Series Paper

Here is a card I came up with for my upcoming demonstrators card swap.  I won't be able to attend as I will be flying out to Orlando with my husband and granddaughter so she can meet the Mouse!

I used the Softly Falling Embossing Folder to add some texture to the black panel.

I used the leaves thinlet from the Rose Garden Thinlet set and I die cut from Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  I used the Botanical Builder Framelits to die cut the flower from the new Pop of Pink Designer Series Papers.  I popped the flower up on a dimensional and added three pearls to the center of each flower.  Using my scissors, I separated the flower pieces so it was more dimensional.  The sentiment is from the new set, Thoughtful Banners, and punched out with the coordinating punch.

You will have access to these new items when you attend one of my New Catalog Launch classes.  Try it before you buy it!

By The Tide Birthday Card

If you have a fisherman or woman in your family, you may want to make this card for their birthday! These were left over from another card class, so I made two into birthday cards.  I added the Happy Birthday phrase from the retired set, Perfect Pairings.  OOPS, I just checked and By the Tide is also retired.  If you are interested in getting this stamp set, let me know so I can check with my other stamping demonstrators to see if they are parting with their set.

The sun is from the stamp set, Kinda Eclectic, which IS still available.

For this card, I used the Thick Whisper White cardstock and stamped directly on the front.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink and flagged one end and popped up on dimensionals.

I also fussy cut (hand cut) the fish out and popped it up as well.  I used some retired Designer Series Paper called Irresistibly Yours and sponged the water using Bermuda Bay ink.

Better Get Better!

Here is a card I created using some supplies left over from one of last year's card classes.  Click here to see the original post.  Since I was running low on Get Well cards, I changed the sentiment out for this.

The words are from the stamp set, A Dozen Thoughts, which is now retired.

I now have these out at the Branson Mill Craft Village if you are in need of a cute get well card!

Page Updates

Have you recently checked out my different pages?  Here's what it looks like on the computer:

Each of these different "tabs" are pages where I update different items.  On phones, the page is a little different.  On my IPhone, I have to click on the Home bar and then below that I can scroll through the different "tabs."  I don't know how this works on an android phone, so if you have one, let me know!

I've added a variety of crafts to the Crafts for Sale page.  In the next few days, I'll be adding more stamp sets to the Stamp Sets for Sale page.  I also updated the Upcoming events page, so you will definitely want to check these out!
