Daytime Demonstrations

Did you know I demonstrate (create) different items in Desiree's Craftroom, located inside the Branson Mill Craft Village?  

If you've purchased one of my kits and are having trouble with the tutorial, bring your trouble to me and we'll work it out together.  I try to write my tutorials for the basic crafter.  More experienced crafters can breeze over what they don't need.  

I will be posting a new class schedule in the next few days but if there is something special you want to learn, let me know so I can get it on the schedule.

Technique Card Class

I had a customer come in and request a Technique class and I have extra supplies cut!  If you are interested in learning how to make these cards, I have scheduled a class for August 30th at 1 PM in Desiree's Craftroom @BransonMill. We will make two of these cards as well as two of the Patchwork cards.  

For those attending, I have a Trifold tutorial that will be emailed to you once you've taken the class.  There is no tutorial for the Patchwork card.

Be sure to RSVP for this class to ensure I have enough supplies ready.  This is a supply intense class!

You may also bring your own paper cutter if you would like to cut your own Trifold card.  This will help reinforce what you learn.

Ghirardelli Chocolate Holders

I call these my Two-Tea Bag Holders. BUT, you can also fit two Ghirardelli Chocolate squares in these as well!

Here are the supplies needed to make the Two Tea Bag Holders. 

Cardstock - 9 1/2" x 3 1/4", score at 3 ½, 4 ¼, 7 3/4
DSP 3" x 3 1/4" (and another piece if you want to add to the top) 3 X 2-1/4
Inside DSP 6 1/2" x 7", score 6-1/2 side up at ½, 3 ½; turn, score at 3 ¼ and 3 ¾

These are adorable when put together

Ozark Mountain Stars

I had a customer stop in last year and suggest I make these. These are Moravian Stars, with points on both sides of the star.  Since these were made here in the Ozarks, I'm calling these Ozark Mountain Stars!

Here are some new (to me) ornaments that I created using some retired Stampin' Up! designer series papers. Don't know if you can see, but I do have glitter on these ornaments and they do look so much prettier in person.

New Gift Boxes

Here are some new K-Cup holders that I created using a fellow demonstrator, France, YouTube video. 

These were very easy to make and are a great way to package a gift. Necklace, earrings, ring, money, K-Cups, etc. The ideas are unlimited!

Envelope Punch Board Crafts

Here are some Coffee Poppers I created for my store located inside the Branson Mill. I usually have enough from my Envelope Punch Board Class, but I was running low! 

I put two instant coffee packets in each popper.

Workshops to Go

I have prepared material packages for those of you crafters that would prefer to make these in your own home. These "workshops to go" are for those customers who live far from me or just don't have time to come in and craft with me. 

The "Kits" contain all materials which are needed, except stamps, ink and punches, which can be purchased separately. 

My current project is a small gift pouch with four Christmas Gift tags.  The stamps I used are Cookie Cutter Christmas and the coordinating punch, and the Scalloped Tag Punch. All three of these items are available in our current catalog. Don't have a catalog?  Come in and see me -- I will have both the annual and the new Holiday Catalogs (arriving TODAY!) available for you!

Traditional Christmas Colors

What colors do you prefer for Christmas cards?  Traditional, or other?  Which of these four color schemes would you like to see made into cards?

I am currently working on what I call the Ozark Mountain Stars.  These are really beautiful and you need to see them in person to appreciate the "sparkle!"  Come back tomorrow for some pictures of these ornaments!

Gift Card Holders

Today's share are some Top Note (Stampin' Up! die) Gift Card Holders.  These can be made into card fronts, or like I did, made to hang on the Christmas Tree!  

Product Alert:  Top Note Die is RETIRED.   I only have ONE of these for sale.  

I do my die cutting one night and then take all the pieces to the Mill and do my crafting there.  If you'd like to see me put one together, stop in and ask me to demonstrate them!

I do have kits cut and ready to purchase as well as supplies to hold a class.  This is one of those items that you can include in a Four-Item Gift Class, too.

I will be creating a tutorial with photos, but for now, here are the basics:

To make these, you will need Tombow liquid glue, ribbon of some sort (kits have this), stamps, ink, and a hole punch.  

Place liquid glue on your base (cardstock).  I let my Tombow liquid glue dry a little so it doesn't ooze out when I place my paper on the project.  

Once I've placed my paper on the base, I add the trim (included in the kit).  This creates a "lip" for the gift card.  

I then pick my favorite words and stamp on coordinating cardstock (cardstock is included in kits for this).  I then layer my sentiment onto another piece of cardstock.  If you don't have any punches, you can use your paper cutter to trim down your sentiment.  Don't know how to do this?  Ask me!

I pop my layered sentiment on the front, add the "hanger" and I'm done!

August Classes

I am going to leave August wide open for you!  Is there any class or item you would like to see crafted in particular?  I will be away from the store Aug 13-15, and Aug 20-22nd. Otherwise, I can demonstrate a project, or teach a class any day from 1-4 pm.  

Of course, I am always crafting, but if there is something in particular that is giving you troubles, come see me!  I'll see if I can help you out.

Stampin' Up! has their new Holiday Catalog coming out September 1st!  I have seen the new items and have my order in.  I'm excited to get new things to play with and update projects in my store!  I haven't received my new stuff yet, but I'll let you know when you can stop in at the store and see them!

For today, here is a birthday card I made using the Happy Birthday die from Stampin' Up!  I also used the new In Color, Lemon Lime Twist along with the coordinating Designer Series Papers, Fresh Florals.  This is a simple card that anyone would love to receive.
