Pick of the Crop, Thinking of You

Today's share are the Thinking of You cards I made with the Pick of the Crop Paper Pumpkin kit.  I really like the popped up awning!  What do you think?

This second card is a Gate Fold card.  I used a Basic White base and cut the included card front to the base.  Adding the sentiment on top of the vellum (included in the kit), makes the sentiment pop.

As I said earlier, I do like to try to use each of the sentiment stamps in each kit.  The "Hello" sentiment didn't stamp well (should have used my stamparatus!) so I used my blender pen and ink pad to add a lighter shade of color.  Again, I used up bits and pieces of the kit and placed on a card base that I had on my table.

Come back tomorrow to see another Z-fold card turned sideways.

Birthday/Love Pick of the Crop Alternatives

Today's Birthday card is similar to yesterday's Pick of the Crop card.  I still popped up the awning but added the Happy Birthday sentiment and placed two Rustic Metallic adhesive-backed dots (159082) from the new annual catalog.

The kit has a selection of sentiments to stamp with so I try to use each one.  Here are the two using LOVE YOU a whole bunch.

Lastly, this card uses the fruit, bread and cheese pieces on a card base from another kit.  I added the "sweetest" sentiment (from the Pick of the Crop kit).

Get out your bits and pieces and see what you can do!

Pick of the Crop Alternative Cards

It's Monday and I've been working on another Paper Pumpkin kit.  My husband is still getting around by scooter and I don't leave him very often to go down to craft in my craftroom.  What better way to spend afternoons, but to get caught up on my kits.

Today's share is from the Pick of the Crop kit.  It's available to purchase as a refill for current Paper Pumpkin Subscribers.  The stamps and ink are NOT included in a refill kit.

First up is an alternative to raise the awning.  I cut the awning from the cart and scored about an eighth of an inch and then popped the awning up with dimensionals.

The next two cards look the same, but aren't.  Can you spot the difference?

One as the fruit baskets popped up on dimensionals. The other card just has the single strawberry/blueberry popped up.

The last card for today is one I reversed from the kit.  I created a Z-fold and popped the bread and cheese off the one side.  I then added the fruit and sentiment to the inside.

Come back tomorrow to see more alternatives to this kit!

Sentimental Rose Thank You

These are the last of the variations of using the Sentimental Rose Kit from Stampin' Up!  I had so much fun making the variety of folds, colors, and layouts.  I hope you will give them a try.

This first card is made by adding a 3 X 5 card from the kit and stamping the rose and leaves.  I scored it at 3" and glued it under the card base (note card).  I then added the notecard to a piece of cardstock, 5-1/2 X 4-1/4.

These next three cards are using the newsprint notecard that I cut to use as designer series papers.  I put all the pieces onto a Basic White card stock base.

Enjoy your weekend and I'll be back next week with more inspiration using the Pick of the Crop kit.

Sentimental Rose Thinking of You

Today's share are six of the variations of Thinking of You from the Sentimental Rose kit.  I love the variety of cards I was able to make with this kit.  If you're new to stamping, try one of our kits to see if you enjoy it!  I did add my own cardstock, ink and borrowed embossing folder.  Sandra is coming back to Branson in September, so I need to take a break and emboss a variety of colors before returning it!

I used the envelope lining from the kit as designer series papers of the next two cards.  I used a blending brush and Flirty Flamingo ink to bring out the rose.

This next card is using the full notecard and just adding it to a cardstock base.

I'll finish up this week with the Thank You cards made using this kit.  Yes, these are all from one kit!  I had a lot of fun putting these together.  I hope you'll give the Stampin' Up! kits a try.

Sentimental Rose Happy Birthday Alternatives

These are the additional four Happy Birthday cards made using the Sentimental Rose Kit from Stampin' Up!  I used the printed card base as designer paper and popped up the rose that I punched out of one of the printed pieces.

This card is the only notecard that I made.  All my other cards are 5-1/2 X 4-1/4.  These next two cards are using the same card base and printed rose piece.  I stamped some Mint Macaron leaves and added a sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed these birthday cards!  I'll be sharing Thinking of You cards made with this kit tomorrow.

Sentimental Rose Happy Birthday Alternatives

Here are three of seven Happy Birthday cards I made with the Sentimental Rose Kit.

The first card is a stand up card.  I put the card base included in the kit on a piece of 5-1/2 X 4-1/4 piece of cardstock.

This card is using the packaging for the gift box as a background.

This last card is also a card base cut to change up the fold.  I stamped the roses and leaves on one of the larger pieces in the kit and scored at 3" to create the fold.

These cards were inspired by Jan B., Dawn O. and Shannon B.  I hope these cards inspire you to create your own cards!

Sentimental Rose Kit

Stampin' Up! has a variety of kits which include everything you need to make cards; the only thing you need is adhesive if you don't care for the glue dots.  Visit stampinup.com/kits to see which kits are still available!

Today's share (and probably the whole week), is from the Sentimental Rose kit.  I did add more cardstock, inks, and embossing folders to make these alternatives.  First up are the Best Wishes and Congratulations.  These cards are great for weddings, promotions, new job, etc.

I used up all the different main pieces, stamping a rose (included in kit) and leaves.  Added a sentiment which is also in the kit!  Gray Granite ink spot is also provided.

Come back tomorrow to see the different Birthday cards I made with this kit.

Cards for the Troops

Here are some more Christmas Cards I made for our Troops.  Every year I try to make a batch of cards to be shipped off to our troops.  Many thanks to Patricia Brodsky for collecting cards to send to our troops.  If you want to make cards for our troops, contact Patricia at cardsfortroops2398@gmail.com for the guidelines and rules.  Most of these cards are using retired designer series papers.

The train card is made with the Santa Express Designer Series Papers which is available until January 4th, 2023.

Enjoy your weekend.  I'll be back on Monday to share my Pick of the Crop Paper Pumpkin alternatives.

Final Batch of Beary Comforting Paper Pumpkin Kit

These are the last of the cards I made with the Beary Comforting kit.  I love the variety and that the envelopes can be converted into designer series papers for your cards.

Come back tomorrow for the latest batch of Christmas Cards I made for our troops.

Upcycled Cards

Today's share are cards I made with supplies leftover from a class I held.  I used paper napkins for some and border wall paper for others.  Think outside of the box to savor those memories!  The wall paper was one that I had in my home many years ago.

I hope these inspire you.
